Broward College August 2011

Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?

I have a Broward College of Nusing White Coat I purchased for ANA lab a couple months ago (only one available at the bookstore). Im not in the nursing program, so if anyones interested Im selling it for ten bucks. Its a womens size XS, but it could easily fit a Med. I was in the accelerated ANA lab and I probably wore it 5 times. Like new condition. PM me if interested, figured someone on here could get some good use out of it!

For retaking the HESI, does anyone know if there are extra fees you have to pay?? I have to retake 3 sections.

You have to pay the same fee you had to pay when you took it the first time.

I have the same code and I am also going for the Generic RN AS. Okay, it makes me feel better that someone else has the same code :)

My application term was corrected and changed to 20121 and my status is now Application in Review.

Did you go to the office or was your application just updated? If I don't see a change in my status by Wednesday, I am going to reach out to them again. I am glad you have the same code I have :) That is a good sign! Congrats on the change of your status. Hopefully we will all be changed to preadmission soon!!

I sent an email to them about the code. I got a response back that the code didnt really matter because they still have me applying for the right term. Afterwards I went and checked the application and both the code and the status were changed.

Hey guys.. Im new to this site, and I to will be applying for Aug 2011. I am really nervous. Would any of you mind sharing ur gpa and hesi exam scores.. Just so I gave an idea of who is applying.. Mine is a 3.3 and 83 percent hesi. I will be retaking a sectin on Monday to improve my score.

Hi, and welcome :) I have a 4.0 and a 91 on the HESI but I have heard of students with 2.something get into the program in other terms so stay positive. I would try to bump up your HESI scores as much as possible. Good luck!

thanks alot...i plan on applying for the jan2012 program, i really hopei can get. i'm going to take the hesi soon also, making sureim fully prepared, i heard stories that it is hard, so im not sure.

Im really nervous as well. I have a 3.3 and an 83 percent on the Hesi. I hope that I will be able to get in. Good luck to you

thank your so much. I have heard that as well. I have 90s and high 80s on all sections except for vocab lol tHE ONE SECTION i did not study for. I will be retatking that section on Monday.. I am hoping for an over all 87. We will see. What campus will you be attending?
