Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

I just went and spoke with the woman at health science admissions (North campus) and she confirmed that those who submit their applications by the May 15th deadline will receive notification of acceptance within 30 days. The woman who processed my application on Monday told me that I would have to wait until July, but it seems that she was incorrect. The fact that we get priority for turning in our applications by the original due date is such a relief!

I turned my aplication in at Central campus and the woman there (2 of them in fact) said those applications turned in before May 15 will be notified within 30 days. She also said the HESI scores will be weighted. I was relieved to hear that. It seemed odd that a score of 70% and 100% were going to carry the same weight. She said they won't count as much as GPA. It wasn't clear how exactly they will be used. Anyone else know anything about this?

I was told that they weren't exactly sure how the HESI was going to be used, but that a better grade is obviously better. I guess we are the HESI guinea pigs! lol!

Does anyone know when we choose the campus that we would like to attend. Is it where you apply or do you have a choice at the information session once accepted? Thanks!

I was told you choose your campus when you accept your seat at the orientation.

Hmmm I was told the HESI score didnt matter a few weeks ago, i guess we will see

At the beginning of this semester I was told passing the HESI meant you qualified for application but the scores didn't count for anything else. Then Monday they said the scores would count for something. Who knows? It seems I get a different answer from every person I ask! :confused: I'm pretty sure this school is going to drive me crazy.

I was also told that they weren't sure what they were going to do with the Hesi. They were thinking about weighting it somehow but aren't exactly sure. Hello mizstriss :) I'm killing myself studying for micro! My brain is fried.
