Broward College August 2010

Published

Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

My points show, I paid my app fee, and I turned in my hesi scores in on june 1st with my app. No one has an exact answer. It is awful what they are doing.

I turned in my app over 2 weeks ago, my points show, and it still says "Application in review". The lady I spoke to said I would get an answer within 2 weeks. This is crazy. My points are okay (11) and I scored 89% on HESI.

For the people that already got accepted...what were your points and scores?

I had 14 points and a 92% on the hesi

I don't know what is going there. I can't an answer from anyone at any campus. If someone gets to speak with someone please let me know. I am dying to know what the hold up is.

Someone got in with 7 points the first acceptances

Yeah I know and I as well as other people have more than that. But I think they applied before May 15 and that is what is making the difference.

Someone got in with 7 points the first acceptances

Yup, that would be me. I applied March 16th with my Hesi scores and everything. I don't remember my average, but i know it was in the high 80's like an 87 or something.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted in Aug 2010! I also received the pre admission email.. See you all on July st!

congrats JJ1477!

Congrats to everyone and hopefully the rest of us will hear something soon :)

Has anyone not been accepted? Do you get an email for that as well?

Did any of you get this email?

Dear Nursing Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the Associate in Science Nursing Program at Broward College. Broward College is committed to serving as many qualified students as possible. However, seats are limited in the Nursing Program. Once a student applies and is placed in the ?eligible? applicant pool, applicants are seated based on space availability, selection criteria, and successful completion of all college and nursing program requirements. The applicant pool remains open until all seats are filled.

Meeting the criteria for selection does not guarantee admission to the Nursing program. Admission is determined from a review of the applicants in the eligibility pool who have earned the most points by weight taking into consideration all the required admission requirements.

1. Minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) in the 14 credit hours of prerequisite courses.

2. Overall Cumulative Degree GPA minimum of 2.0.

3. Completion of the 5 tests in the HESI: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar Composite, Basic Math and Anatomy-Physiology.

Invitations were sent to candidates with the most points by weight in all the required admission requirements. Your application status remains in review as we continue to visit the applicant pool to fill all seats for the August 24, 2010 Nursing class.

Thank you for your patience, and thank you for choosing Broward College.
