Broward College August 2010

Published

Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

Is anyone going to be working still while in the program and I heard that after the 1st semester you can apply for a PCT/PCA job in the hospital is that true ?

Specializes in Telemetry, Med-Surg.

I really suggest you guys go wherever is closest to you although I have some classmates who chose to come down to south from way up north. You have to remember that on your clinical days you may have to be there at 645 am and youll need ample time to get up get ready and drive to wherever you are going and then spend another 30-45 min driving home depending on where you live. Every campus has great things about it and not so great things. No campus is perfect.

Try not to stress about it. Pray about it and ask God for direction and believe that wherever you choose is where you are supposed to be.

On another note lol:

SOUTH CAMPUS PEOPLE DO NOT BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST CLINICAL LAB DAYS.

I REPEAT. DO. NOT. BE. LATE.

im going to south since i live in miami..im a bit freaked out though cause i have heard horror stories of the campus and the professors

I'm at south, about to start my second to last semester. I was deathly afraid to go there too. LOL But it made the most sense, since I live in Miami. After the first two weeks or so, you get used to the routine. Just pay attention and do as you are told. And study hard! For the most part, the professors aren't too bad.

HI HONEY_BEEEEEEEE!!!!

Hi! Hope all is going well. :D

WOW I can't believe I'm still waiting...hopefully I'll know something soon. Every time I call I get no answer. And they don't return phone calls so I guess I must have patience and wait..

have you tried going into the office? that's probably the only way you will be able to reach them... or by email. hope you hear something soon....

I tried email as well and nothing. I figured I'd wait until after July 2nd since that is when the close of applications are. After that, I will go in to see someone. But I applied at another school as well, and I will know from them by the end of the month...so I have decided to stop stalking my broward limited application app. until then :)

Does your Limited Access app still say In Review?.. Mine still does. I check about 3 times a day! :uhoh3:

Hey all! Congrats to everyone who found out they were accepted and Good luck to all of you who are still waiting. I just went into Central Campus admissions today to turn in my HESI scores because they told me to submit my application withouth the HESI and then to bring in the scores when I got them. I turned in my scores and THEY ACCEPTED ME ON THE SPOT. The young lady had said that I qualified for the first round of acceptances and gave me a printed copy of the email that was sent to everyone. I have the orientation set for July 1st at central campus. I immediately called my friend and told her to go turn in her HESI scores as she did the same thing I did, and they accepted her on the spot as well. I had 17 points and a 92 on my HESI and she had a 3.5 gpa and a 91 on her HESI. I recommend to go in today and find out the status so that you may be able to get in immediately. SEE YOU ALL AT THE ORIENTATION!

WOW Congrats !!! No waiting sounds awesome lol

I dont think the deadline is July 2 anymore. It just says open ended..
