Did anyone already turn in there applications for Fall 2009 @ B.C.? because I am turning mine in next week before the deadline and now I have to wait AGAIN and keep continually looking at my e-mail and the myBC account for the Limited Access Program everyday hopefully I get in THIS TIME being my 3rd time :yeah:

I think u can walk in. You have to sign up fo rthe orientation. The numnber is 954-967-1010. Thats for the one on Davie Rd Ext.

I did my certified background... and I viewed my results..for my employment verification is saus "completed, unable to verify" what should I do? I called and they told me I should pay an extra $20 because another company will verify my employment and they charge extra.!!! I dont know what to do??

Also, let's say I do my drug test? How long do the results take? must the results be at BCC before Aug 6,2009 for South Campus?

How long does the background check take until its no longer "in process"?

As far as if its due by the 6th or not, I don't have a clue. I would think that they would want the results by then because they would need to know whats going on before school actually starts, but that's just my guess.

Are you able to look at your background check at all? If you can, then I guess I would ask Twana about the extra $20 to verify employment. If you cannot see your background check, then I would pay the extra $20 in order to get it done. My friend had to pay extra because she was originally from out of state and it costs extra to check backgrounds in multiple states.

I emailed twana and she said to speak to a supervisor so, I will do that tommorrow. Does anyone know how long it takes to get drug results??

hello to all,

I'm a little bit worried because I did all the requirements and finished. Except I declined for the Hep B and signed the physical form for declining it. Now, I just want to make sure that I have EVERYTHING.

Anyone here wants to compare and anyone going to South campus?

Hey guys, I can't find the varicella shot, I heard that because it has a very short shelf life not a lot of places keep it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Did you do a titer to see if you needed the shot? If you had chicken pox as a kid, you'll probably be immune.

What is the titer?? I am at urgent medical I brought my shot records but they r telling me I need the tdap and varicella when I already had chicken pox

You can obtain all your immunizations at a low cost at Broward Health Dept. Check their web sit for times they are open. That's where I obtained all my shots and they are cheap too. Only downside, the waits are long due to they trat lower income and uninsured.

anyone needing immnizations and titers on the cheap should look in to broward county health department attached is a link with there hours locations. i got my shots there and cost me no more than $80. here is the link. only downside is that wait times are long as it caters to mostly lower income uninsured but if $$ is tight, this is definitely way to go. here is the link

Broward County Health Department told me they don't do titers. They sent me to Occupational Medicine Centers of America at 12014 Miramar Parkway 954-438-6228. The titers were way cheaper than at Urgent Medical which is where i had my physical.

South Campus students:

Did you guys get the email with the attached book list from Camille? Looks like they want us to buy our book from the South Campus book store rather than the other campus book stores. She also says:

"If for some reason you do not get an email from your instructor, please do not panic, since you have the first week to get books; lab supplies; etc. "

lol I thought that was kinda funny. I guess students panic frequently around here.:lol2:
