Did anyone already turn in there applications for Fall 2009 @ B.C.? because I am turning mine in next week before the deadline and now I have to wait AGAIN and keep continually looking at my e-mail and the myBC account for the Limited Access Program everyday hopefully I get in THIS TIME being my 3rd time
talking about expenses, i don't have insurance and at my doctor's office all the immunizations would total just over 400. does anybody know of a clinic or something where i could get the shots cheaper? also, i remember reading about books for the first semester but couldn't find it again, can you guys tell me which should we buy or not? and somebody told me not to get an used perry potter because you want to do your own highlighting? thanks for the help...
you can always use a different color highlighter or a colored pen to underline. my process book was new when i bought it, but since then 3 others have used it. i shared the books for the specialties with 2 other students. so, we each only bought one book. we each used a different color pen and it worked out great.
i also debined my med-surg book and 3 students were able to use the same book at one time.
For shots, also.....FAU has a medical clinic that offers shots and titers. However, there are only certain ones you can get if you are NOT an FAU student. I was going to get my varicella titer there because I think it was like $30 something, which is REALLY cheap (like almost $100 cheaper than other places) and they said for that I had to be a student. I think Hep B was one you get if you weren't a student yet.
They changed their website, so I'm not sure what the correct number is, but you can try:
Student Health Services: 561-297-0049
Immunization Office: 561-297-0048
Hey Leavingteaching.....
At North, on the first day, is that when they tell you that you need to have white sneakers? I know that we need to have them, but I don't think a lot of other people do, and they didn't mention it at orientation.
Central has another orientation before the first day of class, but South and North have it the first day.
Hey Fated-whatever happened with your "deferred" status showing up for no reason? Did you get that worked out?
At the orientation, Twana said that she will try to change everyone's status back before thrusday so people can register for class. I'm going to school early on thrusday to register because if there is a problem it can be fixed if i''m there.

Anyone needing immnizations and titers on the cheap should look in to Broward County Health Department Attached is a link with there hours locations. I got my shots there and cost me no more than $80. Here is the link. Only downside is that wait times are long as it caters to mostly lower income uninsured but if $$ is tight, this is definitely way to go. Here is the link
