Did anyone already turn in there applications for Fall 2009 @ B.C.? because I am turning mine in next week before the deadline and now I have to wait AGAIN and keep continually looking at my e-mail and the myBC account for the Limited Access Program everyday hopefully I get in THIS TIME being my 3rd time
hello everyone, my status changed to "accepted" so I am happy and nervous at the same time because I will not be sure until I receive my e-mail. I had 12 points has anyone received and email if so please post it so we can read it..Also I will be attending the south campus it is closer to home....:hpygrp:
Hey Smiley2334, why don't you choose South Campus. I think everything's going to be ok (I hope so ^_^) Congratulations, again!
Yea I think thats what Im going to do if not I would have to move with my grandma up by Coconut Creek to go to North and leave my boyfriend and my friends down here in Kendall....I wouldnt want to do that sooo I'm choosing South. Yay!! I can't wait!!!
nursingstudent....did you say you had 10 pts? someone in my micro class said they had 9 and got in. Thats weird. Maybe she had 10 and thought she had 9. I know someone with 8 and she got alternate status.
About the N under Program Admit Status- I went into the health science admissions office today and asked about that. I was told that its supposed to be N until you fill out the contract saying you will be accepting your seat into the program. She also said NO emails have gone out yet, but hopefully soon. She said they have to finish updating everyone's status'.
Keep your head up nursingstudent....
Last semester, at the orientation, they told all the alternates they were in. Now, that was last semester and I don't think there was as many applicants, but alternates do get in every semester. There are people who decline their seat altogether for whatever reason. There are people who will defer their seat, too. So alternates will get in. Last semester there was someone who was declined at first, then changed to an alternate, then was accepted. There is hope.
As far you having 10 pts and not getting in......I'm still baffled as my classmate also has 10 and got in. She had all the general ed classes done EXCEPT micro (we're in the class right now). Did you have all of your gen ed classes done? I need to ask the other classmate who says she has 9 pts if she has 9 for GPA or 9 total. maybe she didn't realize she had a pt for being a broward resident.
Be careful talking to the health science dept, at least at central! My friend went in there today to figure out what her status meant (hers said "online applicant" not accepted, denied, or alternate) and she just about had her head chewed off. I'm sure they are really sick and tired of all us nursing applicants by now.
Decline- you turn down the seat completely.
Defer- you turn down the seat for this term, but you want it for the next term
Once you sign in, go under the tab at the top that says "Advising" and on the drop down menu you will see "Degree Audit". Click on that and it will bring you to another screen. On that screen, near the top, a few lines down, around the middle, you will see "Program Admit Status:" and there will be an N or a Y.
However, my limited app status says Accepted, and my degree audit says N. I checked with health science and they said it doesn't matter what the degree audit says, if it says accepted, you're accepted.
