Did anyone already turn in there applications for Fall 2009 @ B.C.? because I am turning mine in next week before the deadline and now I have to wait AGAIN and keep continually looking at my e-mail and the myBC account for the Limited Access Program everyday hopefully I get in THIS TIME being my 3rd time
I guess they must be sending Cental people their emails first. Or Central is ready and north is not since they have people at each campus processing and what not.
I wonder if they are saying they accepted people with points from 8-22 and are including the alternates, since I have a friend who has 8 pts and is an alternate. 22 points is really high. Must be nice to have HOSA pts and a 4.0!
oh and to kathzky you can sign up for the cae courses the same way you would sign up for your classes. i dont know if you have taken any yet but you need the 5 following certifications:
cae 0299- basic life support
cae 0382- hiv/aids
cae 0474- domestic violence
cae 0476- tb/ osha
cae 0528- preventing medical errors
they are not long and are pretty interesting
Here's the page for registration:
Yeah, I got mine too! I have a class that day at 1:30...guess will tell the professor I'll be late...I replied but feel weird that I don't have a confirmation for the reply...but I'm soo excited...
I have class at North that lets out at 12:30. Hopefully I won't get an email saying I have to be there at 9 since I am in class from 9:30-12:30. I think they've had more than one orientation in the past.
I have class that day too, that starts at 1:30, and the preadmission session at 2 pm. I went to central today and spoke to certain someone and they said "Make your choice." Even though they have an earlier orientation at 9 she would not switch it. She was soooo mean! I feel like a crybaby, but i actually cried when i walked out of that place. Its so overwhelming getting ready for the program and all. I am giving notice to my job soon, and my husbad and I have been looking for private health insurance (which is aweful)....so the last thing i needed was some jerk giving me a hard time today. I mean....i thought they were supposed to be there in the education field because they care about people going to school and trying to get a good education. Apparently not.
congrats to all!! welcome to broward college's nursing program!

you won't make it to class. you may want to tell the instructor you'll be absent.
i got the e-mail already!! pre-admission orientation is thursday, july 9th at 2:00 p.m. central campus!!! omg im soo excited!! :w00t:has anyone done the certifications already?? in the letter it says that you can register online to do them...i have to look into that so that i can get them out of the way.
try ceufast.com $29 gets you an annual membership and you can do all you ceu courses online. not sure about cpr though.

not quite. there's only one program. everyone gets accepted into broward college. you simply register for different campuses. if you wish to attend south or central, register early because they have fewer seats than north campus. don't try to figure out bc's logic. you'll give yourself a headache.
has anyone responded back to the email yet? are we just supose to reply to sender and say that we will be attending on july 9th? cause theres no link or no information on what exactly they want to hear from us?:redbeathe:nurse:
don't get overly concerned if you don't receive a reply. it's not uncommon here. just print your responds and bring in to the orientation in case there's a problem.

good luck to all!! now get prepared for the test. fine tune those critical thinking skills. don't freak out at the orientation. they make the program sound like h*ll, which it is, but you can do it.

Well at Sheridan it was the Core and the other CAE classes combined (domestic violence, medical errors, etc) and it was altogether $219 plus $15 for the CPR book. That was it.
