Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Hey guys for those applying in the future.

i have my Bachelors in Speech Language Path from USF

I didn't take CHEM 1033/1032 because i already took MCB 2000/2000L I will have to take it before i finish the program

I averaged an 85% on the HESI with 75% in anatomy i finished the whole thing in two hours lol

GPA was a 2.9 with 5 Points awarded

This is the third School ive applied to and thank god the last one

If nursing is truly your passion then go for it! Ive been waiting for this for 3 Years!

Ill be attending South campus ( because it closer lol) Best of luck to everyone

PS ill be the tallest one @ south campus cant miss me!

@iHeartKey That is wow I'm in shock I placed my application in last year and was one of the early ones and I did not get an email this is confusing to me.

they are sending out emails today as well, emails were sent between yesterday and today

I have the 10th at 1pm. I think probably the 9am section has first dibs on which campus and the 1pm section second choice. Theres no other times, right? I am only seeing people with 9a or 1p.

The time of your meeting has no bearing on when you get to choose your campus. There were 300 students accepted. The group was split so that the room the meeting is held in can accommodate them. Everyone gets to register on the same date, at the same time.

Wow your situation is different from mines, but just call or email them. I believe they are still going to send out emails of acceptance till that July 10 information session.

HSC0522 (TB/OSHA/HEPATITIS)

HSC0405 (CPR Basic Life Support)

HSC0691 (Domestic Violence)

HSC0692 (Prevention of Medical Errors)

CAE0644 (Florida Laws and Rules for Nursing and Respiratory care)

Where are you guys going for the courses /certifications we need before starting?

Most of them can be done online through BC

I looked up the online classes and the date said something about them starting at the beginning of each term. Wouldn't that be the when the program starts? =/

Once you sign up you can start the class right away online I already finished most of them
