Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Thanks. Do you know how much notice you get when accepted? I know that they email you and you have to respond within a certain time... did your friend happen to mention how long?

I started to worry because another thread was saying that you only get to choose if you are one of the highest scores... otherwise they assign it. I'm hoping they were mistaken. I do not want to be stuck at a different campus.

You're welcome :) Once u respond to the email, u go to orentation then they email u the codes for each campus and they give u a time and day where you register for the classes at the campus u like. That's the way they do it. That's what happened to my friend

Hey guys I want to share that I have 9 points out of 16 granted for my nursing pre requisite gpa . I found this out under limited access application information . I also have my application under review . Can you guys share how many points you were granted ? Thanks

@Loulakis123 Wow, I had no idea. i assumed they looked at your Hesi scores. Good to know. that makes me feel better!!

More than likely yes, it really depends on how much you get but if you get the maximum then some will be left back over for Broward College. Make sure to also put Broward college as your school on the FAFSA application.

Make absolutely sure that all the blocks are removed that would prevent you registering or you will end up at South Campus. North and Central will fill up right away. Also, be prepared to go to the school and have the block removed before North and Central fill up.

Hi! What do you mean by block?

Blocks that would prevent you from registering. For example, I had a block on my account because the admission office didn't have proof of my Florida residency. Once I got that cleared up, I was able to register again. Other examples would be outstanding/unpaid fees, missing prerequisites or missing paperwork.

Okay thanks!! So apparently at BC if you're not getting a AA you're not eligible for financial aid. So I had to change it to AA but now when I go under "limited access application" I cant see my application status or anything like its gone. And on the BC front page it doesn't say nursing as my degree but says AA. The advisor told me once I get accepted the program will change it but how will I know not making sense to me... Anyone know??

Damn that Information on fin aid is new to me. I guess loans will be taken out if I get accepted .
