Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

I just got some news from broward that they fixed the HESI exam and they have extended accepting applications. By the end of the month everyone should have an answer.

Wow, I don't understand. At first it was "no later than the second week"....this is torture.

Well they are giving the people who couldn't take the exam this week a chance....like me. It wasn't my fault that the test wasn't working & I can't apply on time because of the exam. They need to be fair about it.

I agree that it's tourture, especially for those of us who have had our stuff done and in order and are just waiting for a response. But also, if I had a circumstance that made me wait until last minute to take a test and it was beyond my power that the system went down, I just know I would be so incredibly thankful that the date was extended. Everything happens for a reason.

I completely agree, people should be allowed to receive extensions based on technical problems. I had no idea that was going on, I apologize if I came off upset towards you. That definitely wasn't my intention. On the other hand that means that they have yet to select or there are still a lot of seats available.

So they are giving people just this week? So apps need to be in by this friday? So that means we may hear by next week then possibly? If they just extended it a week that's my math...

Well I had taken the test & I had to retake. So I gave myself extra time to retake so I could pass it for sure then this happens with the HESI. They told me that they were accepting applications until seats are full. There is no deadline or a for sure date when they even stop taking applications. So who knows when we will really find out. It's okay I'm not upset about it. Just saying what's going on.
