Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Does anyone know what the schedule is like at south campus?

I also heard that, South campus has this association with Memorial Hospital system in which you Pass the first semester, They reimburse you for it and will pay the rest of your education at Broward but you have to work for them for 2 years after getting the license. Is this to be true? Is this a scholarship of some sort?

I also heard It is true for Central Campus and North Campus when It comes to Broward Health Hospital System but I Know for a fact that one is a scholarship you must apply for

No. Those are 2 scholarships. Memorial and broward general. You apply and interview for each. Every campus can apply for either one and certain people are chosen to interview for them. You fill out an application with questions. If you get it, you are given tuition reimbursement for a certain amount. It is not given to everyone. ..just whoever is awarded. People at any campus can get either one. So south can get the broward general and north people can get the memorial. There is nothing by campus. It goes by application and interviews.

Hey I read on broward college nursing may 2015 that memorial offers 8 k in scholarships for students who have 3.5 gpa after the first semester . Go look on memorial website for more info

Has any one already completed the certs ??? I was reading the other forum from may and I see they are taking the certs on ceufast.com ....

Just curious how do they calculate the points? For the pre reqs and such?

From my understanding if have a 4.0 gpa you get the full 16 , 3.9 fifteen point s, 3.8 fourteen points, 3.7 thirteen points and so .

yes thats the one I want to apply for if I make it. The person told me that they were told memorial scholarships are only for South students but it was cleared all up

do they calculate those 16 points based on the pre-req classes they need or overall gpa??

They calculate only pre req for your points ENC1101 AND the A & P 1,2 PLUS Their labs

Hi everyone! I too have applied for the nursing program at broward college starting in August. My application still says in review. Has anyone been accepted as of yet. My hesi scores and my GPA aren't top of the line but enough to qualify. I'm currently doing the prerequisites for the bsn just in case I don't get in this term. I hope they don't change the prerequisites for the bsn!
