Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)
Hey everyone! Just curious I was reading on old old forums and it mentioned things about like CPR and Health core career hours and such are we supposed to take these before getting into the Nursing program? Or is it something we learn throughout our time in it etc. It probably sounds silly and embarrassing but I have never taken a CPR course or anything yet so I just wanted to know.

Ha. Don't worry. I haven't ever taken any CPR either. Don't feel bad. The lady I spoke to said not to worry about the CPR and stuff until after we get in. She said we'll need them before the fall, but most of them can be taken online, except for CPR, but it is a short course. She said they will go over everything with us after we get accepted. :)
Jbeans, I'm sorry they screwed your stuff up, but I'm super happy that you at least know and it can get fixed now. Hoping for the best for you. :)
I have to agree with you guys about South Florida being worse. When I moved down, I was amazed at how little people cared... even with school. =/
Hello! I am looking forward to applying for broward for fall 2015 as well. I have a GPA of 3.0 with my sciences and I didn't do so well in the HESI the first two times. I am going for a 3rd try now. Does anyone know how serious they take the hesi exams? I literally only missed one section (vocabulary) on the 2nd try by 5%. Help please.
Read the May 2015 thread, it has some very helpful information. It is a lot of pages but it has very good information. That way you will know more about the application process, orientation, registration, and preparing for the first day of class. It is a lot involved with that. Start reading your fundamentals book by the schedule of the campus you would like to attend and go over the math calculations.
Hi Aweisson, when you took the HESI the first time hesi gave you a web site to go to practice for taking what you didn't do well in. Did you get a chance to go over all that stuff. I didn't get the 75 in the math and I went on the site and did all the problems they gave me, it took many, many hours, I was persistent, I wanted it really bad. I went the next week and took the test and got a 94 or 96 in the math section. So practice, practice, practice.
