I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

So i've been reading some old threads of Broward college nursing program and the consensus seems to be that GPA does matter but only for the A&P classes and you can tell how much you scored in that area by your limited application status where it says nursing pre-requisite GPA and its says your points granted out of 16. I only have a 7 I know I didn't do the best in A&P ughh

Yea personally I've talked to different people also and everyone tells me something different, it's hard to just find the right answer. I thought I wouldn't get my app looked at till Monday but today my application is in review so here goes the waiting game T^T

I defiantly know that gpa matters, hesi I heard they really don't look at unless they really need to.But if you have gotten A's or B's in the courses that count you should be good. I know C's aren't good.I've read in past threads that people got in the program with gpas less that 2.9. So basically you just have to meet the requirements.

I was accepted for May but deferred till August also, I am looking to go to the North Campus. I will make double sure that all blocks are removed this time so I am not left out in the cold. I have to start taking my classes including my CPR and getting my shots soon. I could have started the nursing program in January but had to take the HCP class and now it is not required. Oh, well, good for the future students.

Hi Acitrone, I am on ceufast because of the the information on the Broward RN May 2015 thread. I received a lot of good information from there. Not sure at the moment about the shots, I have to go back and read what was said.

What application term are you guys getting for August 2015? Mine is showing 20161.

Mine is for 20153 which is the last term of 2015. 20161 would be for january. When did you turn in your application?

Once your application goes into review your Term changes to 20161 For August 2015

Is that why mine is still 20153? Mine still says pre program app. I tried asking but who ever i asked said that the limited access app page wasnt always up to date but since i handed it in personally it was fine. But i feel like im the only one thats still not in review

Yes that's why it says 20153. I had that same question. I asked admissions and they told me once my application is in review it will change, and it did

oh okay. Mine went to review status this morning thats why I'm showing 20161. I applied for Aug 2015.

When did you turn in your application? They don't see people on Fridays because they review applications and do administrative work without interruptions.
