Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

I also wanted to know .. there was a girl who told me that there were diagrams on the Hesi asking you to identify muscles and veins, ect. Did anybody that has taken the HESI encounter these type of questions ? ...

Good Luck on the HESI!!!! I would definitely recommend the elsevier review. Personally, I didnt see any disgrams on the HESI and in the anatomy section of the book there are pictures of the different body systems and explanations. Just study the book and use quizlet.

Just curious once I take the HESI how long does it take on average for any of you to get everything done and processed? I know they haven't accepted anyone yet but to get into the waiting process. Sorry if the question seems jumbled I hope it's understandable. Since Im nearing the end of May I just wanted to know my chances of making it somewhat on time

hi , thank you for the wishes & for responding. I am studying quizlet but I'm using the McGraw book to study for the HESI. Do you think that will also help ?

The Mcgraw Hill's book only has practise questions. The Elsevier book is much more directed and informative. The same company also created the HESI, the questions can be found on quizlet but not the information. The book is created from a teaching aspect as oppose to just giving practise questions like the Mcgraw Hill's book.

I turned my application in a week ago and it still says Pre Program Application. However, my friend turned hers in and in one day it was in review. So i guess it all depends who you give it to and if they put your application in right away

I turned in my application today(centeral):cat:. The lady told me that they will start to review applications the first or second week of June. I'm just nervously waiting.

I turned in my Hesi scores today and now my applications in review. I'm still nervous because does anyone know anything about the application process? I asked the lady that put in my scores what she thinks my chances are of making it into the august program; she told me that basically whomever they select for the nursing program in august will be random provided that they meet the minimum requirements. So it doesn't matter your GPA or Hesi score or when you turn in your application, it's all just chance.

which campus did you go to? now I'm extra nervous because i thought i had good gpa and hesi score.

Oh and I turned my hesi scores in this morning but my application back in end of March
