Anyone out there applying for the Spring 2009?

I'm applying for the second time. I applied last time to get the three extra points and this time I'll go crazy if I don't get in. -lol- I didn't expect to get in b/c I only had 20 points. Now, they decided to bring back the interviews! :eek: I'm scared to death of it, but all I can do is pray that they can see how bad I want this.

Anyways, just wanted to see if there was anybody else out there!

So this may be a dumb question... but do we register for classes? Because aren't we all taking the same classes and everything?

Yes you will need to register for class but you do not have to worry about the class filling up because only nursing students are allowed in. So you can wait untill later to sign up. The everyone will be taking the same class at the same time except for skills lab.

And I saw that too. I was surprised at how many male names I saw in the email.

I've been relaxing & traveling to see family. Nothing major. I'm just ready to get to the books. I'm also trying to make sure I have everything that A.C. said we would need to have in that e-mail.

is the drug test just urine? my sister had to have a hair follicle test once for a job and they cut a chunk out of her hair! it looked ridiculous for a while. not cool. (but kinda funny) :chuckle

it was just urine for us, but was nothing i had to worry about.

i have a suggestion for those of you that have found each other here. set up a coffee date to meet each other, that's what i did, and i am now very closely bonded with the ones i met early on. the support you will get/give to one another is amazing. you guys rock on and have fun!

i have white pants if anyone is interested.

I'm getting more anxious the closer it gets. -lol- They updated the website and it says that they will be e-mailing our classes. I guess we don't get to choose at Success Camp? I thought they used to draw numbers or something? :confused:

Also where is everybody getting certified for CPR at? I think I'll just do it through BHC.

cpr - a lot of students in my class used this lady:

cindy lewis, rn; heartbeat; 972/733-4936.

she teaches the class at preston/campbell area. she was awesome and she teaches the healthcare provider course(cpr & aed) and the basic life support (bls) all in one. if there is still time at the end of the session she also shows you how to do cpr on a dog, with, i guess you would call it a dogequin. anyway, she is an rn here in the dallas area and it was a great class. you have to renew every year in the program, even thought the card is for two years. we usually got about 10 students together for the class, but i'm sure she could probably accommodate more.
