Brookhaven Spring 09

Anyone out there applying for the Spring 2009?

I'm applying for the second time. I applied last time to get the three extra points and this time I'll go crazy if I don't get in. -lol- I didn't expect to get in b/c I only had 20 points. Now, they decided to bring back the interviews! I'm scared to death of it, but all I can do is pray that they can see how bad I want this.

Anyways, just wanted to see if there was anybody else out there!

That's what I was thinking. I heard they spend a lot of time going over the dress code and handbooks. Who knows. :-) Ann said to be on the lookout for an e-mail that contains the handbooks as an attachment. They were THICK when she showed them to me. We have to print them out so I'm just going to go to Office Depot and have them do it or something. We have to have those Tuesday for Success Camp.

We really have a dress code? Even just for going to class? I had no idea. Do we have to be in dress code on Tuesday?

No, I believe it's the clinical dress code. :wink2: Have you bought anything besides the scrubs yet? Books or anything? I'm waiting for success camp. I saw the book pack price was a llittle over 600 dollars.

No, just the scrubs. I'm waiting for financial aid to kick in. Hope I get it before the 20th!

And I'm taking my cpr, imm, phy, etc tomorrow to Ann.

Did you already have a laptop? I can't remember. I did get one recently after that one person told us about that.

Yeah, I have a laptop already. I got one this past summer b/c I figured I would need one for Nursing School if I got in. I've heard that's another thing they will be telling us about at success camp. Apparently we can load our text books on there instead of dragging them to school everyday.

I'm taking out a loan for this first semester & I've already been told to expect to come out of pocket b/c it will be late kicking in. Luckily I have a back-up plan.

Do you already know some of the people in our class? I met 4 people so far. 2 at the drug testing site & two at the CPR class we had.

Are you getting the loan through the school? Where you have to take that loan class? I've called so many times about it, and they keep on saying they don't know when it is yet and to keep calling back... And I'm getting kind of worried because school is about to start!

And I know a few people. Well I've met a few anyway. Just from the interview and the drug testing place. I'm sure I'll recognize a few faces.

I took the class mid December I think. It was a lot of info but that's all that we have done. We haven't gotten an e-mail or anything else that we're supposed to get yet. I'm calling up there today to see what is going on.

Yeah, that's a better way to put it. -lol- I've met a few. Just about all of them looked familiar from pre-req classes.

So you weren't joking about those handbooks

Well don't go to kinkos. They wanted to charge $70 for the one that's like 145 pages. F THAT.

LOL! No sir! I told you they were huge. I'm going to office depot. If you submit online and want 25% off the finishing (3 hole punch, etc.) use this cupon code 50578723. My total caame to about $15. I'm doing double sided.

I just decided to do it at my home computer. So far my ink cartridge is holding up. We'll see though... Only 91 pages left lol.

But thanks anyway :)

No problem! I went to Office Depot & she gave me a 2 sided copy and a single paged copy. She only charged me for the double sided one. I wanted to sell the other one but I don't know if those worksheets that we will fill out will need to be turned in or what. If so then I will need the single paged one if that makes sense?

Good luck with those 91 pages!
