Anyone out there applying for the Spring 2009?

I'm applying for the second time. I applied last time to get the three extra points and this time I'll go crazy if I don't get in. -lol- I didn't expect to get in b/c I only had 20 points. Now, they decided to bring back the interviews! :eek: I'm scared to death of it, but all I can do is pray that they can see how bad I want this.

Anyways, just wanted to see if there was anybody else out there!

UGH! Ms. Cortez had said people very rarely have to appy 3 times. That's horrible news!!!:confused: It's just wrong! I was nervous in the interview. I hope I didn't sound like a fool. Everyone there wants to be a nurse, has an achievement they are personally proud of, etc. It's just so hard to know what exactly it is what they want to hear. I just spoke from the heart, but I tend to 'babble' I think when I'm nervous, and that's what I'm worried about. I tried to cut it short when I noticed other's talking a long...time, but it was nerve-racking having them stare at you and then write down secretely while you were speaking!:uhoh3: I hope I'm just being hard on myself. We have to keep thinking positive!

You probably were being hard on yourself. I left thinking my answers were not long enough. -lol- I was straight to the point & gave just a tiny bit of extra info. I hope you do succeed this time! I'm pulling for you.

Believe if I don't have an e-mail when I wake up at 10 I'm calling up there. This is my 2nd time applying & I'm a wreck with all this waiting. Last time I didn't expect to get in but this time I'm done with everything.

Okay...I'm calling. I hope we can get the e-mail before I have to take my daughter to her Dr.'s appt. at 1:30. That's all I'll be thinking about once again today.

The first time I applied semester before last it was a nightmare. The emails did not go out until 4 days after they were scheduled to go out. We would call, and they would tell us later today, but no email. The next morning we would call and be told they would go out that day, and by afternoon it was still they would be out that evening, and by evening they changed it to in the morning. We got up in the morning, and still no emails, and the cycle went on for the longest 4 days of my life.

Last semester they went out on the exact day they were supposed to. The interviews are new so it might be throwing them off a bit.

Thanks! I am sure they are so busy with the interviews being back. It's just so hard playing the waiting game! In a way, I'm scared to know because if I don't get accepted I'll be so crushed! Everyone keeps asking me if I heard anything(friends/family), how embarrassing if I don't get in. Especially since it's narrowed down to how you did in an interview. I'll just try to keep positive thoughts. I've been cleaning the house like crazy due to nerves, lol.

I remember feeling the same way. When I didn't get in the first time I applied I was just numb. The funny thing about it was that I really didn't have that many points, and didn't expect that I would get in anyway. During the waiting game lots of rumors came out about the minimal amount of points, and I starting thinking "Maybe" then after 4 days it was just a major let down. Then I applied again, and got in. I think you guys will do fine, and if you don't get in this time, apply again and you will make it. I think most of the people in our current class applied twice, an occasional lucky person gets it on the first try.
