Hello everyone, I would like to know who's applying to Brookhaven this fall for their Spring 2012 class, if so how many with how many points? I will be taking my last support course this summer, which is my elective (PHIL 1304). I am so excited, upon completion of this course I will have 32.39 points. I can't tell how nervous I am, I hope this is enough. Any advice from previous or current nursing program is welcomed.
Hi guys, I'm back. My kids, work, and assignments have kept me busy. I so hope they let us know something before Friday. I have been a nervous wreck, trying not to think about the whole interview thing. I was so nervous, and it showed. I'm considering purchasing a critical thinking book for nurses, no particular reason, I'm just curious as to what critical thinking really is and would like to know how to train my brain to do such from a nurses standpoint.
Right now I'm reading Test Success: Test-Taking Techniques for Beginning Nursing Students and it seems like it's going to be pretty helpful. There is a chapter on critical thinking and another on the nursing process, as well as techniques for different testing formats. I also read on the website that critical thinking is one of the things they go over in success camp, so I think we'll kinda get an intro to that before actual classes start. Happy Monday, ladies! Here's hoping we get that email today!!
Looks like no email today... I've been keeping my gmail open at work, so I can see on the tab label when I get a new email - it'll say Gmail - Inbox (1). So now whenever I see the (1) I click on over there and all day I've been getting frustrated with whatever email it is ("Dang it, LivingSocial - I really don't care about a 4day getaway to the Dominican Republic right now!")... I guess the first lesson they wanted to teach us is patience!
Haha same here! I keep trying to remind myself they probably have a lot going on besides the application process, and it may not be until Friday. We should really count our blessings that they gave us a specific date to look for an email, as opposed to some other schools that just let you sit waiting by the mailbox every day!
