Brookhaven Nursing Fall 2015

Published

Hi!

I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!

I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!

I look forward to virtually meeting other BH fall '15 applicants!

Right!! 8 days til a potential major life change and counting!!

Thinking happy thoughts for us all! í ½í¸€í ½í¸€í ½í¸€í ½í¸€

I think fafsa is always based on the previous years taxes and w2 but not currently. you can always contact the fafsa website if you want they are very helpful and helped me fill out my application this year sorry hope this helps!

@Stacyriguez

I am one with low points. I have not resolved that I will be an alternate; I am prepared for both however with realization that I do have lower points. That keeps me driven and focused for whatever comes my way! I have a goal either way! Keep your head up; you got this!!

@eelittle maybe once you are in the program, you can room with another student to cut costs especially since it is an 18 month program. It will all come together.

I guess reading all the old and new posts got me flustered...not that I wasn't already! I have 22.4. I had thought it was more but I had forgotten I lost 2 points with the new guidelines. But I feel really good about the paper/interview, so when you think about it, those points could be made up in that respect. I don't know... Just going nuts I think!! But I'm glad im not the only one and we shouldn't count ourselves out. We made it this far!!

I do have a boyfriend that I live with.. so that helps with rent, but, he is a firefighter and his salary isn't enough to pay for both of us for everything, unfortunately. So, I still need to find a way-and until we are married, I don;t feel right counting on him to support me anyway (I'm stubborn like that :) )! You are right though.. it will all come together :) I will call Fafsa tomorrow. Great idea!

Is the room x1085 located in the nursing office?

Just look for an IV pole with the sign that says nursing interviews then you'll turn and check in with one of the ladies in the offices on the right hand side of the hall

Beat me to it, Lopri!

Good luck to the people interviewing today! :)

Just finished my interview today! Congrats to all the ladies who were in my group! The interview went more smooth than I had anticipated. The questions were relatively easy and I feel like I answered them to the best of my knowledge! I hope to see everyone in my group again in nursing school!!! Good luck!!
