Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018

This is a forum for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Spring 2018.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?

My points were confirmed at just over 40, but I don't know how many applicants there were in total. Does anybody know when the actual interviews will be taking place? If the dates are given next week, will the interviews be the following week, or are they a couple weeks out? I'd like to know so that I can inform current instructors of possible absence and make alternate arrangements for any assignments that I might miss due to the interview.

Interviews are conducted between the dates of October 23 through October 27. According to a third semester student, LunaBell.. it's come first serve and her and the other applicants were given the opportunity to choose between two different days.

The actual interview: It a panel interview. There were two instructors interviewing 5 students at the same time. So they all took turns answering diff questions from both of the instructors.

Last semester interview dates and times were given to us according to our last name in alphabetical order, and were over two days. We did not get to pick our interview date. We also were supposed to find out on April 7th on acceptance but we didn't find out until April 10th, so those dates may not be the most accurate on the website.

A lot of people with 36-39 points. I only have 35. We'll see what happens.

SO I called because the suspense was eating me alive. So Barbara stated that there were over 100 application she didn't give me an exact amount of how many over 100. So it could 101-199 lol.. Too funny but hey at least me know that there are Approximately 101 (or More) applicants. Any who so ready for the interview invites to come out so I can stop being a nervous wreck.

I am literally refreshing my email nonstop - the suspense is driving my crazy. Barbra got back from vacay today so idk if we will get invited today. However, I'm afraid to not keep checking because I def don't wanna miss anything.

Before turning in my application, I met three people with lowers points than me. So out of 4 people I was the one with the highest points. If my math is correct, I was in the top 25%. If 200 people apply, that means that I will be in the top 50 out of 200 applicants. That is just me being silly and waiting for my response so I can quit or stay at my job lol. :D

From stalking the thread from last spring I learned that they send out denials first.

I just went and talked to Barb, she told me there were over 100 applicants and when I pressed further, she said there was about 120 applicants - so there we go. Lol
