Brookhaven Fall 2019

Published

Anyone applying for Fall 2019? I know it seems far away, but the application is due the end of Feb. It is best we begin to prepare now, especially those who need immunizations.

I need:

Critical thinking exam.

Retake Hesi for a higher competitive score.

Dosage calculations workshop.

I'm taking Chem 1405 and Phil 2306 this fall and Pharma in winter.

I have a friend currently in the program and she said that since it’s so fast-paced she can only work a maximum of 20 hours a week ? that’s what I’m worried about too!

I can do 20 hours...my job is flextible - I’m fortunate enough to be in control of my own schedule. But I work in the evenings and Saturday’s are generally mandatory...I wonder how they work with students who have to continue their jobs while in the program. Obviously school is the number one priority, but I want to succeed and be able to pay my bills...

My friend is also in the program right now and she is working about 30 hours a week. She just started this fall, and she said so far it’s been doable to work those hours.

Thank you for sharing! That makes me feel so much better.

No problem. We work together and she sometimes works 36 hours a week. So I understand, sometimes you just have to work.

Good luck to all of you .I was not able to apply this term because I retook the hesi and did worst than my initial try. That being said please share hesi study tools. I will be applying in fall if I can get my hesi right ?

Oh no, I’m sorry! The PocketPrep app is a great tool to help study

This is a relief to hear.

Go to this FB group: Online HESI A2 Study Group. It will help, I promise! I went from making a 75 a few years ago to making a 92.40 this year when I retook it the 5th time.

This is a video I made in the group that shows you how to find out what questions you missed so you can study those for next time you retake it. Hope this was helpful!

My heart stops every time my phone goes off ? I wonder if we’ll hear about our interviews today since we received our point confirmation emails a day early
