Anyone applying for Fall 2019? I know it seems far away, but the application is due the end of Feb. It is best we begin to prepare now, especially those who need immunizations.
I need:
Critical thinking exam.
Retake Hesi for a higher competitive score.
Dosage calculations workshop.
I'm taking Chem 1405 and Phil 2306 this fall and Pharma in winter.

One workshop per month for a total of 3 workshops to be attended to. I think August-Sept-October. Cause I was looking for it like crazy and wanted to get it out of the way now.
Thank you for this!!!! Cause I was wondering where it was at. Well, at least I have some time but that means I really have to push to take in Aug-Sept.
how did y'all type in the addresses for texas tech app? They give it to us like this: TTUHSC El Paso –GGHSON MSC 22002 5001 El Paso Drive El Paso,TX-79905. Is it supposed to be like this?:
TTUHSC El Paso –GGHSON MSC 22002
5001 El Paso Drive
El Paso,TX-79905
Or is it some other way? I feel dumb for asking but its been a week and I'm not sure they have gotten it yet:( and the deadlines approaching so I need to know if I need to send it again.
I don't remember how I typed it but it seemed like my transcript from Brookhaven took at least three weeks to get to Texas Tech and they had two transcripts from North Carolina colleges within a week. Someone else in my microbiology class has the same issue right now. She was literally getting ready to get a sealed transcript from Brookhaven and mail it herself when it finally showed up as received. It's frustrating, I know, but it'll eventually get there.

I would wait a few days. I had to send mine from DCCCD and DeVry and it took a few days before they finally updated it to received. Are your transcripts only from DCCCD or other colleges? If they are from other colleges, every college is different in how they process their transcripts.
I believe that we can speak things into existence. So I won't say anything negative although I'm not confident with my admission status. If anyone is feeling how I'm feeling, here are some things to consider that made me feel hopeful.
There will be open vacancies. Some students who applied may pass up their spot and it will open to next ranked candidate. This seems to always happen every application cycle.
Out of those applications they received, I'm sure a few turned in an application that they thought were complete and or thought they had the minimum 20 points to apply and the application was disqualified.
If I'm not accepted at El Centro or BHC, I will move forward and apply straight into a BSN upper division program at a university because I have every BSN prerequisite for TWU and UTA ( Stats, history, algebra, pharm, patho, micro, psych, chem etc). I could spend more money and get my BSN in 2 years or keep waiting and get my ADN in two years.
I just don't want to wait another semester to apply. I've wasted enough time and that is my fault. I have a young child that I have to support and she's getting of age where she wants things (That cost A LOT of $), wants to be in sports, etc. I'm not going into nursing just for the money, besides my passion to help others, I love the job security of nursing and the schedule flexibility. I can work less and make more. That's the goal in life so I can spend more time with my child during her critical years of development. My support system is great but I can't depend on them to be around forever. My goal is to receive my BSN by 30. I'll be 26 in August. I don't know why I feel like I have to rush this but I have to tell myself that I have my own timeline and if it isn't meant to be then it just wasn't my time. Sorry for the rant but waiting another week is not how MY anxiety works. I want an answer NOW lol. You know that feeling when someone text you and says "CALL ME NOW" and your stomach kind of drops until you hear what they have to say? Yeah, that's the feeling I have right now.
I’ve decided to apply to Collin County as well for that reason. I cannot wait one more semester. I live in Collin County so the tuition would be cheaper for me but I believe Brookhaven is a superior program even though it’s a little more money for me. Their deadline to apply for fall is May 31 which seems crazy to me but easily doable.
Anyone have any thoughts on Collin?

I did, however just like your situation, I would pay more for out of district. Also, the PSB exam is hard for what I’ve heard. I should apply though.

@vmrose93 This is how I've felt for a few years now. Like "God why does it seem like I can't get any closer to getting into these programs? I'm a PCT and I know just as much as these nursing students do!" But I realize now that God needed some things to happen in my life FIRST before I could pursue it the way I wanted to and now that they have happened, I'm glad it happened the way it did so I'm so close to getting in that its unreal. All my BSN classes are done (well, except the two science classes I'm retaking). My Texas Tech classes will be done by the end of summer. My first HESI I took 3 years ago was a 75.2 overall. I retook my HESI two months ago (which I dreaded retaking again) but I passed with a 92.4. I'll be 30 in May and before now I always said I wasn't going to keep pursuing this after 30 but here I am and I'm closer now than I was last year to applying. I say all of that to say this, Stay positive my friend! Our timeline is not God's timeline and sometimes things will happen that make you wonder like, "Should I put this on hold?" or "Maybe this isn't for me." But you know your passion and you know what you want to do with your life. If you don't get in, try it again. Switch up the plan but still execute it. Keep going friend and I have faith you will get in to the school you desire. Take care!
