Brookhaven Fall 2019

Published

Anyone applying for Fall 2019? I know it seems far away, but the application is due the end of Feb. It is best we begin to prepare now, especially those who need immunizations.

I need:

Critical thinking exam.

Retake Hesi for a higher competitive score.

Dosage calculations workshop.

I'm taking Chem 1405 and Phil 2306 this fall and Pharma in winter.

They are definitely due by 3 pm tomorrow the 27th. I just received the last piece I needed: my Hep B surface titer. It says I have immunity so I'm thrilled but I had read it was greater than 12 for a positive result and my number is 9.9. Anyone else know their number?

Also, I only have 26 points. ?

Yes, I called Monday and it is due Wednesday by 3pm, the powerpoint presentation was wrong. I think it has to be greater than 9.9 because on my result it has 0.0-9.9 labeled as inconsistent with immuntiy.

My form says equal to or greater than 10 mIU/mL. Mildred will definitely let you know when she is signing off on your immunizations. If anyone is dropping off their application tomorrow, would you find out how many applications have been submitted so far?

I looked at my results again now that I'm home (I had been looking at it on my phone) and it says" Result: Reactive; consistent with immunity, greater than 9.9 mIU/mL.

It doesn't actually give what my number is. This is what I need, correct? Reactive means positive -- I have immunity. Or should I be stressed about this? Ugh!

And I am dropping off my application in the morning. I will ask how many have been received and post something tomorrow afternoon. I have microbiology after I drop it off until 1:00 so I won't be home until 1:30 or so.

I had Mildred sign my paperwork this morning and dropped off my application. Barbara told me they have over 100 applications and will be receiving them all day up until 3:00 when she said she'll be locking the door and going home. Good luck, everyone!

Hello,

I just applied with 24.75 points for the fall 2019. It doesn't seem like much so I'm so nervous. I work in Baylor but its not clinical so I don't get the extra 2 points.

And the waiting begins.

Just so we have it here to refer to, I've copied the schedule of dates. Let's keep in touch! March 22nd seems so far away right now... spring break will help with that! Does anyone know an approximate number of how many are accepted in a fall program?

March 22: Students will be notified of their application points at the email address provided on the student's application by 5 p.m.

March 25-26: Student dispute period: Should an application issue arise, the student must email the nursing administrative assistant describing the problem by 5 p.m. After the dispute period, all applications will be considered correct and no changes will be made.

March 29: Students will be notified of interview status by 5 p.m.

April 8-9: Interviews and professional writing samples are conducted.

April 12: Candidates will receive an email regarding their admission status.

April 17: By noon, candidates must email the nursing administrative assistant indicating acceptance or regrets. Vacancies may occur. The vacancies will be offered to the next ranked candidate by email or phone.
Admitted nursing students are required to attend Success Camp. This activity is mandatory and the dates and times will be emailed as soon as they are determined.

I believe it’s 60, but someone said in a previous post that for fall of 2018 they accepted 84.

Barb said it was 60 for this semester. The top 70 get invited for an interview and top 60 get accepted

I'm so nervous. I really want to get in the Brookhaven program although I applied at El Centro as well.
