Brookhaven College Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am hoping to be part of the Brookhaven College Spring 2017 Nursing Class and I want to start a new thread where other potential students can communicate with one another. I am almost done with my pre-requisites. Currently I am working on getting Chemistry and Ethics out of the way. I plan on taking nursing pathophysiology this summer if it is offered.

Any one have any suggestions on how to prepare for the HESI A2? I am also interested in any advice that can help me with my dosage class. I am very nervous about the dosage course since the test must be passed with a 90%. Good luck everyone!

Will be applying as well from what I understand yes. Those 3 shots are generally giving first year from birth so most should have.

In 20 days we can start submitting our applications!! I noticed on the dosage roster that there are 199 users (of course some are faculty members so not sure what the true # is...but it is scary to think that only 50 will be accepted for the spring!! Could it be that there are that many potential applicants? í ½í¸©

I counted my dosage class and was a little over fifty

Is that the count of students you saw at the first testing day? Professor said there were 54 students that day, of which 44 passed with a 90>. The roster under ecampus shows 199 registered users. Maybe they are not all applying to the spring semester... :nailbiting:

This whole new point minimum and critical thinking test has me nervous.

Yea at the first exam. Going to take critical thinking this week. I'll post how it is! Hesi shortly after. Super nervous but nothing else to do but roll with it.

First class is not mandatory. I didn't go and went to first exam and passed.

Whoops answered old question.

Hey Guys today was the first day to register for HESI and by the time i was getting there (11 am) the last two days to take the test (9 am session) were already full and a session can have a maximum of 15 students. No lie the competition is going to be serious but we must all stay at the top of our game and focus on doing the best we can. I have no doubt that that way we will all make it into the program!!

Anyone taken the critical thinking exam yet ..how is that and what is the best way to study for it?

Good luck everyone :)

I took the CT exam and I felt it was not easy to follow. I didn't score very well. I got an 11.1.

hope yall have better luck! Can October 24th come any faster so we know if we made it to the interviews? :bookworm:

I took it yesterday and it came out to 11.4. I too felt like it was worded incorrectly and even a few errors in the sentences. When is your hesi scheduled ?

Agree. Many grammatical errors and the formatting was off too.

I took mine on Feb. Based on how many points I got from the CT exam I don't think I'm going to retake it. I've calculated my points to be 36.5- I'm hoping that is sufficient to get me in. When are you taking yours? I hear the latest slot available is the 13th...at least that was the case yesterday.

I have mine scheduled for 9/10. Nervous af lately. Any tips on anatomy and grammar sections? Like style of questions? Everyone I know tells me it isn't as bad but I want to make a 90 or higher.

I used the HesiA2 study guide that the BH store has as well as an app from iTunes called HESI A2...I'm sure it can also be found as an android app. Have you taken A&P2? I felt the test covers a lot from that class.

A 90 is a good score to shoot for, that's 15 points. Have you calculated how many points you end up with if you get an 90?

good luck on the Hesi!!
