Hi everyone, I haven't seen any thread about BHC Fall '14 so I made one! I am applying this February at Brookhaven community college for Fall 2014. I took Hesi last year for trial and I will be taking the Hesi for real again this February and I have been studying really hard this Winter break! Goodluck everyone, if I do not get accepted I have plan B which to go ahead and try to apply in UTA.
Almost finished in all precourses needed just Micro and death dying this Spring but they are not counted this application so I am hoping to do well in Hesi!
Overtime I (and my other classmates) started to get better at it and it didn't take us that long to type everything up. The first couple of clinicals were brutal though because of the lack of sleep. Doing the careplans/paperwork is important though so you know your patient, their diagnosis, symptoms, meds and interactions though.I suggest to anyone about to go through nursing school, SAVE ALL of your careplans, patho statements and med lists on your computer. You can 'reuse' them for other patients (of course you have to tweak it a little because all patients are different).
Agree! Save it all! Plus it will be some good review for HESIs later down the road :)
I just made folders for each semester on my computer. Keeps it all in certain spots.
When I went through the program it was all white leather shoes. Must be closed toe with a back too. No logos on the shoes either. They were really strict about this for the first 2 semesters but as the time went on most instructors didnt care what color your shoes were as long as they were closed toe and had backs.
I went through the whole program with only 3 pairs of scrubs because I was pretty broke. They dont tell you a minimum or maximum you must buy, it's just up to you. By the end of the 16 months those 3 sets were VERY used. I would suggest buying more than that upfront OR buy a few upfront and buy additional later.
