Thought I'd start a forum for those who are applying for Brookhaven's ADN program Fall 2018. Has anyone started on these particular things? --->

-prerequisites

-HESI A2

-online nursing information session

-critical thinking exam

-dosage calculations class

For anyone that has done an interview before : PLEASE explain what type of questions were asked, how long it lasted, and what it was like!!! That would be amazing

I have been talking to someone who is already in the program and she said the interview is 4 teachers and 4 students or 3 on 3. they ask each person 2 questions and she said make sure you look like you are listening to everyone. the "essay" part she said were just a couple questions and you answer them as you would. "why are you interested in pursuing a nursing degree?" stuff like that. Good Luck yall! hope we can all start in the fall together!!

The Tuesday Roster ends with 5 people scheduled on last scheduled interview block and the last person in that block is a Z. I told y'all when looking under the registration for semester 1 nursing classes in the fall each course has availability for 90 students. Not saying they are accepting 90 because I know they have the Dual Tech students to account for and then anyone who may have to repeat or is coming back into the program. But I beat they are taking more than previous Fall classes.

I applied with 34.71. Pretty sure that I'm at the bottom of the barrel so I MUST make a good impression with the writing assignment/interview to accrue enough points to be in a competitive zone.

By chance, can anyone from the Monday interview tell us how many people are in that day?

Did anyone get an official number that they are accepting from Barbara? Bc if there are 80+ vying for 50/60 slots, holy cow....

I got an interview as well! Monday morning! I could cry I'm so happy

Congrats. Congrats to all us..especially those of us who had to go through this twice. I hope we all get in. I'm going to start practicing asap. Hopefully this time next week we will be celebrating our acceptance. That would be the icing on the cake.

Hello everyone! Congrats on getting an interview! I'm a second semester student. Normally the fall takes 60 people but with the issues with El Centro this semester they are taking around 80. So it looks like 82 have interviews and if the past trends continue everyone who has received an email for an interview should have a great chance at being accepted. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
