Brookhaven ADN Spring 2020

Hello everybody! I will FINALLY be applying for Brookhaven for the Spring 2020 entrance. I have watched previous forums to see what to expect and I'm excited but nervous. Are there any students here enrolled in the concurrent enrollment through Brookhaven and Texas Tech? I hope to hear more from you guys as we go through this process!

Nice to meet you Sierra! You may be in the same class as I am. I'm taking (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for 1406 right now. Who do you have? And you should be starting on your shots now if you're going to make it for Spring 2020. Thank you very nice to meet you thank you for replying. I did see the checklist but I’m still confused on what shots I need and when should I start my hesi preparing and taking the exam. Am I missing anything or any advice that y’all could help me out with

Hey, welcome to the chat. From my knowledge you need to make sure you are up to date on:

MMR, hep. B, TB, varicella, Meningitis ACYW, TDAP, and flu. I went to Brookhaven and the nurse let me know what all I needed done.

As for the hesi, you can take the hesi 1 time an application period. You can take one now then after Aug. Or Sept. (the end of the application period for Spring 2020), you can take it again.

Are all programs when apply the same or are they all different because when I was talking to the nursing coordinator she sent me the el Centro one?

Different schools have different requirements.

i believe El Centro and North Lake are the same but they are different from Brookhaven and Mountain View.

Oh okay I see cause the packet she sent me was the el cento one. How do we sign up for the hesi I’m sorry I’m asking so many questions I’m just new to all of this.

Fill out the HESI A2 form( it’s on the website) just google Brookhaven HESI Exam.

then contact the testing center to schedule it.
