British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Spring 2022

Published

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone is applying to the BCIT Spring 2022 intake? What GPA are you applying with and are you applying with previous healthcare experience? How did the Casper test and Snapshot go for you?

Hey guys! I’m not applying to the April intake but the Sept 2022 intake.

I was wondering if any of you know if BCIT looks at 18 credits GPA for admission or if they look at ALL your courses GPA for admission?

Good luck to everyone who applied for April 2022

BCIT considers all of your credits and courses, no matter if it is related to the Nursing requirements or not.

I think we should start hearing back soon. They usually start sending decisions by now.

Man I really hope so. I’m so stressed out. It still says pending department review on mine.

I hope so too! I check the status of my application everyday, hoping it will change the next time I look...

Is anyone applying first time?

This is my first time applying! I don’t feel super confident but we will see… what about you?

It's my second time actually, so we'll see what happens. Did you guys also check your Casper score?

Oh did they tell you why it was no the first time? Just curious to know. Would love to know what your current GPA is and what background you have in the field? If you don’t mind obviously. Yeah I did but I don’t understand them?

No Worries. My GPA tbh is not very competitive and I know that LOL. 2.9. I have bachelor degree from SFU in MBB and I have over 8 years of experience in healthcare. I used to work in pharmacy for almost 5 years as assistant, and now I work for VCH in testing sites and vaccination sites and Seymour in different areas. I'm an assistant manager too. So definitely my GPA caused that, not sure about my previous Casper. For the Casper I did for this intake, I don't understand the score either so not sure how they determine that. We also had the Snapshot too for this intake to increase our Casper score, so I see that as an extra mark. I wish we all get in together!

OMG what intake did you apply to? I know the September one is the most competitive of them all. I would think that’s a great application with some great background! I hope you definitely get in this time!! Yeah I really liked the idea of snapshot so you kinda get to see how the person is but I know it can be challenging for some people. I hope we all get to see other in this term! Would love to hear back from everyone about their results.
