British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Spring 2022

Published

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone is applying to the BCIT Spring 2022 intake? What GPA are you applying with and are you applying with previous healthcare experience? How did the Casper test and Snapshot go for you?

hello, may I ask about your stats? I got a non offer

Pre Calc 11 81%

Chem 11 78%

Engl 1177 79%

Pysc 1101 96%

Bhsc 1200 95%

General electives (Sociology 1100 at VCC and Stat 1124 at Langara) A/A

I also completed both Libs 7001 and 7021 with 79%/76%

For previous education I had an academic probation on my record from my first year out of high school, I really struggled in school for a while. Then I got a health care assistant certificate from VCC. I worked in LTC for a couple months but mostly worked as a community health worker for about a year and a half. For the last year I've been working with LifeLabs performing COVID testing.

I got in the 4th quartile for my casper score which I think made a really big difference. I had applied previously in September and didn't get it, I'm guessing because I did poorly on the casper but I'm not sure.

I stumbled and blanked a bit on my snapshot interview but I was still confident in my answers.

Thanks for sharing. May I ask if you have done anything for Casper that you were placed in 4th quartile? Did you prepare and if yes how did you? If you don't mind me asking.

I received an email today that I am on the top 10 waitlist for April but have a guaranteed seat in September. did anyone did anyone get an email like this as well?

Hey! I was just wondering if everyone got top 10 waitlist emails the same time or are they sending it out on different days? As of RN, I’m on the waitlist, but I haven’t received any emails yet regarding being top 10. Congrats to y’all tho! manifesting that I’m also part of the top 10 as well.

Congrats guys!!

I am waitlisted, but not in top 10. Does anyone know how many people are selected for the waitlist? I really hope I can make it this time. ??

Just wondering if anyone that applied to BCIT and got accepted, are going to withdraw their application?

No Worries. My GPA tbh is not very competitive and I know that LOL. 2.9. I have bachelor degree from SFU in MBB and I have over 8 years of experience in healthcare. I used to work in pharmacy for almost 5 years as assistant, and now I work for VCH in testing sites and vaccination sites and Seymour in different areas. I'm an assistant manager too. So definitely my GPA caused that, not sure about my previous Casper. For the Casper I did for this intake, I don't understand the score either so not sure how they determine that. We also had the Snapshot too for this intake to increase our Casper score, so I see that as an extra mark. I wish we all get in together!

Hello! How did you prepare for snapshot?

Hi for those who got in, can you share your stats please

hey guys! is it possible to get your admission for April intake deferred to September?
