Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone is applying to the BCIT Spring 2022 intake? What GPA are you applying with and are you applying with previous healthcare experience? How did the Casper test and Snapshot go for you?

That would work for people with their degrees finished but I'm still in school and I plan to take the next semester if I don't get in. If we get results at the end of January I would have to drop all my courses if I were to get in cuz April would cut into the semester?? not very good timing ahha

Yeah not a lot of notice, but if you get in I'm pretty sure you can defer for one semester. So that could always be an option to consider and ask about.
Hi friends!
I am very sad about my Casper Result. I am in the first quartile. It is probably for my poor typing speed and I couldn't explain properly also missed 2 questions. I studied medicine outside of Canada. My GPA is 3.46 and for BCIT RN prerequisites my average is 92%. Here in Canada I am working in a retail store and I volunteered at Maple Ridge Hospital for the Surgical Day-care and Hip and Knee Replacement Clinic. I also Volunteered in Alzheimer Society of BC. Is there any possibility to get chance in the RN program of BCIT with my poor Casper Result. I am so much frustrated. I wish if I could go for an oral interview instead of Casper.

Try applying at Langara instead! Its mostly GPA there, but theres a better chance of getting in because that’s the only one they based their decision from compared to other schools like VCC and BCIT. From what I heard, Langara’s BSN program is one of the best ones in the province. I recommend inquiring there also if you havent. I just got in recently, I’m starting in January!!
Hey was just wondering how everyone's feeling about their Casper results and snapshot. I did contact the Casper team and they said they provide the schools a final casper test score which is not the quartile test score. So I think that means that BCIT will get like a percentage type score and the quartile score is just for us to get a feel for how we did.
Oh man I just looked this up to see if others were still waiting anxiously like me. I saw a reddit post about someone getting into April 2022 so I am not sure if that was someone getting off from a waitlist or what but really hoping we get some answers soon. Does everyone's application still say "Pending Department review"?

Seriously? Someone already got in? I thought the waitlist people get in at the end of the intake. I don’t think the waitlist follows over into the following intake either… maybe I’m wrong. I just sent an email to admissions asking for a timeframe for decisions. My application still says the same thing…
