My application at deakin took a while, they wanted me to be shortlisted on the next program for 2010,can't wait anymore my english will expire.Uni of Ballarat actually under Australian Academy of Nursing and their placement is in sydeney.I chose them coz they (accdg to my agent can help me w/job placement right after the BP)dont'know how true but it's what they clain in their website.$10k for the program.

Do you have any contact in job placement in Melbourne?

hi guys! i'd like to ask, does NBV require hospital/ work experience in order to qualify for the bridging program? i'm planning to go to la trobe for my BP if ever the NBV will give me the go signal..... i'll be starting my application this january & i hope to get a positive result. and by the way, do you send in the cheque together with the rest of the initial requirements?

im still not allowed to send privage messages.. i would really appreciate if someone would help me out...i really want to go to melbourne.... =) thank you!

hello everyone! im really glad everyone has done something for their application..i've read from previous posts regarding the prc's certificate of good standing and i would like to share my side of story..hehe..i got mine way back before i applied for NBV hence i sent them myself...im really hoping that everyone will get a positive feedback from NBV this year...im really excited and been contemplating if i should call my case manager if she already got my supporting documents and ask her upfront if my application is ok...im really hoping i can join the feb/march batch next year...i've done some research too about the application of student visa and seriously, i havent gotten much info about it...is it better to apply via an agency or just by my own thing??any suggestion guys??

hi shinggay! i would like to share.. my friend's friend is already in melbourne.... she's finished with her BP and she is just waiting for her work there. she did all the processing herself without an agency's help.. she is a second courser and she said that nurses are in need.. patient census is 1:4 or 1:6.. most doctor's orders are by phone coz they also need doctors there. nursing homes are not that difficult there too.. i would like to go to victoria too, in melbourne but im not quite sure because i dont have work experience...

Yes,aaa llooootttt!i recommend doing it by batch so that you won't be stripped!you can go to an internal med dr you know for discount in vaccines. They will accept the med certificate as long as there are contact details of the dr.Am referring to agent you can contact you to facilitate your enrollment in the unis when you get you eligibility letter.i tried doing it on my own but you see it will take a while when i tried to have an agent i got enrolled righy away and my agent araanged my interview to the uni before acceptance.tell you,it has been bloody!

i need to do this also for clinical placement from a uni in perth.. additional vaccines are MRSA and influenza.. help me please:confused::idea:

hey fellas! I am about to apply for eligibility at NBV and I'm still scouting which Uni to go to for the BP. I was thinking of Latrobe, Deakin or Ballart. I will be sending all my documents next week but since it takes about 3 months for NBV to respond to the application, plus the time for school application/enrollment and visa processing, I don't think I can make it for the intakes in those unis. Latrobe's intake is in June already. Ballart has an August intake but application closes on March 30. I will still research on all school/unis offering the BP in Victoria but if somebody out there can suggest which school/uni I can probably go to with my pace, I'd really appreciate it.

Good luck to all those applying and those who are already in the BP! I'm sure I'm not the only one who will love hearing about your experiences.

Hi,try the Australian Academy of Nursing under University of Ballarat ,am currently attending BP.It's great here!We just had a meeting with NBV in the uni and they mentioned that on 1 July 2010,registration will be"imposing new protocol. That registration will just be once and will be effective for any state in Australia.Good news!

Thanks kuchi! That's really good news! I got scared when I heard of rumors that the 3-month BP will be replaced by 1-2 year "enrolled nursing" pre-registration courses. I thought that was the new protocol!

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm still thinking whether it's Latrobe or Ballarat. Latrobe's intake is on June while Ballarat's latest intake this year, I believe, is on August, at the Sydney campus. It really depends when I will get my eligibility from NBV coz I will be running after the closing dates of application which is on March 30 already for Ballarat, Sydney! I made sure that all my NBV documents were complete and certified correctly to avoid delays. What additional documents did they ask for you when you applied?

If ever I decide to go to Ballarat, I would appreciate it if you can 'endorse' me to the registrar or whoever :)

BTW, in what campus are you taking the IRON, Ballarat or Sydney? :)
