Is a case study the same as a care plan
Hi shans1959, In my own practice, before anything else, start by putting the pt in a comfortable position and apply oxygen. You would then start assessing with patient's consciousness. These following questions will guide you in writing your case study.. Is the child alert, confused, anxoius, etc?? is the pt speaking in full sentences, or having difficulty in speaking due to SOB (shortness of breath)..Is the patient using accessory muscles--what's the breathing pattern??types and breathing patterns?? what about any discoloration to nails, lips (any signs of respiratory distress). How much oxygen is the patient on? Is the patient on current medications?? what exacerbates the problem???whats the oxygen saturation like??heart rate??..after doing all these assessment you then begin your CARE PLAN based on your assessment..for more respiratory assessment please refer to this book.. physical Examination and health assessment by carolyn Jarvis..this is a good book..Hey, You can do this..starting is the hardest but once you get yourself started you will breeze through it.. all the best!!:)

Hi zyann, What is TAFE ? Technical and Further Education or TAFE as it is commonly referred to offer courses designed for: young people preparing for their first job mature age people looking to train or retrain people preparing for university studies Courses offered at TAFE provide students with practical skills that are transferable to the workplace. Most TAFE courses are based on national competency standards that are set around industry training packages. These packages are designed to produce a nationally consistent curriculum and levels of training so that students receive the same standard of training no matter which TAFE they attend. The content of courses run by TAFE are vocationally orientated and require students to undertake practical placements in the workplace. overseas trained nurses
hi yoj1001, when you say you passed the requirement to nbv, did you mean submitted?? in the hospital where i'm working (melbourne, we call our division 2 nurses EN). so i would say you will be classified as division 2 nurse..div 2s job is the same to div 1s in exception of giving medications. however div 2's with medication endorse qualification can give s/c and other meds except IVs...it's good though if you have a position as EN so while working you can work out your bridging course..where in melbourne are you working??

Hi dangerousbeauty, I'm originally a physiotherapist from the phils...i did love being a physio but it's expensive to get my registration here in australia so i ended up being a nurse which i'm loving it. although i missed being physio at times esp the difference of the nature of work..but if that's what you want, i think you need to take physics 2 then proceed to 3rd year..so all up its another 3 years more...by then if you secure a job or at least do volunteer work it will be a passport to go abroad anyway..but as i have said earlier, its your your choice..good luck..
