hi everyone! last year i already sent mt certificate of good standing at NBV. lately, they are requiring me to pass a certificate of initial registration. is that same with the PRC diploma? of just a verification of nursing registration indicating the date of initial registration? is there anyone having the same situation i have? thanks
yes, that's the "PRC diploma".
Hi everyone! Am a newbie here and basically I read all your posts on this thread before I registered. I found it all very helpful as I even took down notes. I submitted my application with NBV third week of Jan 2010. Unfortunately I received a letter from them mid Feb saying that the payment details were invalid (to my dismay!) I used my aunt's credit card btw, so I called them up and verified it. Apparently, there was a wrong entry on the payment form so I was asked to fax them another form with the right cc nos. So now (like some here), am still on waiting mode...
However, after reading some of your posts here, am worried now re my docs. You see, am a second courser and passed the NLE only last Feb 09. I only have training experience and NOT as an employed staff. Would this affect my application for registration?? Would they accept training experience as work perhaps?? I still don't have the letter from NBV but based on your experience here, I'm counting 3 months the least. I'm really glad I found this thread! Hope we could help out each other in achieving our OZ dream!
Thanks in advance!

Hi there guys,
I an overseas post graduated midwife. I already applied for QNC but after 15 month they told me that I am not eligible to get registration I am going to move to Victoria or west Australia to try their board ,
can any body share exp with me ?
Please if some one have any idea help me.
If the university requires experience then I would think any experience as long as it is nursing related and in hospitals would probably be okay. You just have to show them a certified proof that you were employed at the said institution from date of commencement to date ended. With regard to the docs you need to submit to the schools would depend on the school you want to go to. But generally, it will consist of your letter of approval from the Nursing Board/Council, your passing IELTS scores, the duly filled up application form of the said school, and some other docs that would be asked like immunizations and stuff. Generally, not as much docs as when you are applying for the nursing board.
Cheers.
Hi there,
Do you have any information about preregistration program for midwives? is the rule related to this program different in different sates?
I mean in all states in Australia do I have to deal with nursing board?
Because I have got an email from south Australia board they advice me t o deal with universities is it reasonable?
I am an overseas post graduated midwife and QNC refused my application for registration in QNC. after 4 years studying only in midwifery and 18 month exp now they are telling that I have to study 3 more years.
I am going to be disappointed, I am confused and I do not know what do i have to do?!!!!
can some one share her information with me?
or any one to advice me that what to do?
Regards.
Hi everyone! I am passer of June09 NLE and I don't have my certificate of initial registration yet. All my other credentials, including my application form already arrived at the NBV office February 22. Can anyone tell me the possible waiting time for NBV's reply if ever you have incomplete documentation or some outstanding requirements? Thanks you so much. I just feel very uneasy about the upcoming National Registration that will take place in the whole of Aussie this July 2010.

Thanks. Though I asked someone from PRC yesterday, and she said it's ok if I'll be the one to send it, provided I don't include it on my application. I'll just request for another one when I'm done completing the other requirements. BTW, where did you have your documents certified and how much did it cost you? Thank you.
