Bridgeport hospital school of nursing fall 2015

Published

I'm looking for anyone who is applying to this school this year. Please let us know when you applied and any progress you make to getting accepted. Good luck to everyone!

I applied in early Dec. and decided to to retake the TEAS test before sending it for review. Form what I understand it takes anywhere from 2 weeks - 2 months to get accepted or not. Past experience has said more like the 2 months is the norm. I should be getting my results from the TEAS test today and it will be promptly moved to review next week (1/19/15). I will confirm the date when it actually gets sent.

I will update any progress as I get it.

Wow KellyH. At least you got your letter. You've been waiting for so long. Don't lose hope. Did your status change?

Thinking of you, Kelly! You have a great attitude and your dream will come true. Keep pushing!

Good luck!!!!!

Well guys, I just received a letter from BHSN! I've been wait listed, so now I'll send in the form to be put on the wait list! I still have hope & pray that they'll give me the good news that I've been accepted if there are any seats available!!!

Btw my letter was postmarked 4/28 and I received it today! Good luck to all you still waiting! I won't be a stranger. I'lll still be here waiting a little bit longer! Wish me luck!

Don't lose hope yoi still have a shot of getting in! Stay positive! Can you share your stats if you don't mind? Did your status change?

There's still hope KellyH_2014...still rooting for you to get in!

Has anyone here run across the situation where your status has changed from "decission letter sent", and status changed from, "NOT ENROLLED" to "ACCEPTED"... And found out that you were really not accepted into the program? Just wondering.

That would suck so bad- mine changed to accepted, but I still haven't gotten my letter.... HOPEFULLY tomorrow- I'll let you know what the letter says.

That's great KellyH.. Keep the faith up.. You will get in..

Thanks you guys for all the positive words!! My disposition status still says under review, and my level did not change so as I said the other day check your mail daily you may still get a letter without an update on sonisweb.

My stats are:

Chem- A

Bio- B+

A & P- A

A &P 11- A

Micro- A

Eng 101- B+

Eng 102- A

Psy- A

Soc- A

Public Speaking-B+

My Gpa was between a 3.7-3.9 not sure how to calculate correctly. I used an online calculator. My TEAS V score was quite low almost too embarrassing to post. I scored a stinking 65% I know this is what's hurting me! But hey there's still a chance?! I am a little saddened, but as I was told it's better than a decline. I'll wait to see what happens next, I'm not sure how the wait listing works if anyone knows any info. please share!!! :nailbiting:

Coachremson, I didn't notice a number on the envelope does it mean something specific? I'll recheck though!

Also has anyone heard about this... someone who works at bridgeport hospital told me they arent hiring nurses with associates anymore. Just bachelors... that sounds SO wrong. WHy offer this program then?

:(

"Someone" is misinformed. Lets just say *I* know first hand that they do.

Not sure actually, but I do know last year (when I was on the waiting list) I had the #705 on it. I remember vividly thinking that if that is the order that they looked at my application it's no wonder I was wait listed. I still have that envelope today. I kept it for motivation to hand in my application in early! The envelope this year was #221 - I got in with that number.

Funny story to take your mind off the acceptance process for a second. I ordered my stethoscope last week. I got it on Thursday! in case you are wondering I got a Littmann Classic III. any way, I could not wait to start using it so I used it on my wife, kids, and even my cat! I dont recommend the cat though All I heard was her purring. Sounded like thunder LOL :cat:

Lol, sure did make me laugh!

My letter didn't have a number on it though. Hope I'll hear from them soon, as orientation will probably be in mid June? I remember you saying you didn't hear back till late summer last yr, is that correct Coachremson?!

My letter was sent in late may. They closed registration June 14th.
