I applied in early Dec. and decided to to retake the TEAS test before sending it for review. Form what I understand it takes anywhere from 2 weeks - 2 months to get accepted or not. Past experience has said more like the 2 months is the norm. I should be getting my results from the TEAS test today and it will be promptly moved to review next week (1/19/15). I will confirm the date when it actually gets sent.
No change yet. Still under review! I was told by a friend who was recently accepted to bhsn in Feb. that they require a 65% on TEAS. Not sure if that's correct, I've followed other previous blogs and honestly there was a wide range in scores from 64's and up. So like I said Im not positive on what the actual TEAS V requirement is. I'm hoping and almost certain that they take everything else (essay, references, and nursing gpa) into consideration as well, as the staff have mentioned theirselves.
Yeah they definitely take a lot into consideration. I didn't do the best on my TEAS and I just made the cutoff for chemistry, I got a C+ (ouch) but I still got accepted. My references were all RN's at my job, some of which went to BHSN and I feel my essay was great. So even if you didn't do well in one area of their requirements, I think doing well on other parts will definitely outweigh it all. Best of luck :)
Oh ok thanks for the info makes me feel a little better as far as TEAS scores because you hear so many different things from everyone! But I did hear that st v's pass rate was low for a while but as of last year or something it was much better! Just as good as BHSN I believe!
I did get some movement on my level. it now says "first year". I still cant get in as a student. Maybe they are starting to update this week. keep an eye out for changes! looking forward to itsformonkeyhead, Jessica_, KellyH_2014, joining us for orientation.
Coachremson, I sure hope so that would be the best way to start my summer !!!! So happy for you I can imagine how excited you are I remember you from last years thread, I hope I have a chance this year!!!!
