I applied in early Dec. and decided to to retake the TEAS test before sending it for review. Form what I understand it takes anywhere from 2 weeks - 2 months to get accepted or not. Past experience has said more like the 2 months is the norm. I should be getting my results from the TEAS test today and it will be promptly moved to review next week (1/19/15). I will confirm the date when it actually gets sent.
That's good news RachelCath! At least your disposition changed! Mine has been under review since 1/30 and my status hasn't changed at all, now I'm really nervous!!!!
I'm sure yours will change soon! Mine was under review not much after yours, it's felt like an eternity! Orientation is in June so I'm assuming they're gonna looking at more files now that it's getting closer to the end. And I thought I was a nervous wreck before waiting for the disposition to change, now waiting for the letter to come is even more nerve wracking!
I handed my deposit in today! I noticed they put that in to the status but it still says under review. LOL
I asked about the waiting list and she said "that depends on how fast we get denial letters back and how fast we run out of seats." I will tell you that I got a letter in the mail stating I was wait-listed in early May and they closed it in early June. Look at it this way, as long as you don't get a rejection letter - no news is good news.
My status still hasn't changed and nothing in the mail, as of yet. I still have good thoughts and I know everything happens for a reason. Hang in there, everyone!
Everyone posting here seems to have the drive, and determination to become a handful of great nurses! Being this involved with sharing information and ideas with just the acceptance process, says a lot for how we will work together in BHSN! I sure hope I can be a part of it. Fingers crossed. And a special congratulations to Coachremson.. You worked hard for this.. Congrats!
To expand on Redmm74 - We need to stick together to help each other through tough times and be able to count on a hand when needed. I hear stuff about competitive, nasty all for one attitudes in nursing. We will all go in together and we will all graduate together lets make it fun and help each other out. I for one want to make this the best experience of my life.
I agree, Coachremson. This thread has helped form a great study group for those accepted.
I noticed the 2015-16 semester was added in the bhsonsonisweb site under "courses by semester" but it's blank so I can't see how many students have been accepted yet. Aside from that, I'm trying not to check my status these next few days. (Unless someone mentions that their status has changed lol. Then I'll check if mine has changed too)
To everyone waiting, be patient. :) I went down to BHSN today to ask a few questions (because they're IMPOSSIBLE to reach over the phone and take years to email back) like when will I receive my orientation packet and when I can log in as a student blah blah. And she told me that they're trying really hard to get all the decision letters sent out, she made it seem as though they're behind on all of that. So I'm assuming all the letters will be sent out very soon!!! As for the people who have got accepted, congrats and I can't wait to meet you all :)
