Brenau Part-time Spring 2014

Is anyone else applying for the part-time Spring 2014 term? Any full-time applicants?

I will make sure to say hey! I am taking Med term the first session so I'll let you know how it goes (from what I hear its super easy) If for some reason I don't get accepted I plan on taking Patho and Abnormal Psy in the spring. thos will be the only two I need to be good to go for the Full time track BUT praying I wont have to worry about that!!

I've already taken abnormal psych. It was easy pease but I find a lot of the psychologies roll into each other so that's helpful when taking a new one. Well patho would be the only one I would need to take extra then! Could be worse! I don't want to do the full time track. I'm not sure I'd survive between my kids and school. I'm crossing my fingers for the part time! I have a good feeling that all of us on this board are probably in good standing. We're obviously dedicated!

Hello All!

Well, it's getting down to the wire. They should be looking over our packets this week. Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall?

Someone here sent me a private message and the site won't let me send one back. Guess I will have to participate more so I can get that capability. To answer your question, I believe I deferred to January. I had to change my intent form to reflect the PT program rather than the FT program.

Hey! I got your message! Let me know if you got mines.

Hello all. How is everyone doing with the wait? Hopefully we will know sometime next week! Thinking optimistically, is anyone in the Canton area as well? Would love to connect with others near me for possible ride share or study group.

I am so nervous!!! I live in Winder... I know that isnt close to Canton but you have a great idea!

Hello everyone, I am taking my prereqs at Brenau applying for May 2014 FT and taking the Kaplan September 26th. I'm glad I found this feed, it looks like I had Micro this summer with a few of you. Best wishes to those of you waiting on your letters. If anyone has pointers on the Kaplan science section I would SOOOOOO appreciate it. I'm taking A&P I this fall so I have a lot of studying to do & i'm finding/learning that the Kaplan study guide is irrelevant when it comes to the science section.

ummnasim may I please have the A&P II study guide you referred to in earlier messages for the Kaplan prep...please & thank you.

I only used the teas study exam book for the Kaplan and only looked over the science. I found that super helpful. I also printed out fraction worksheets online because I had totally forgotten how to add and subtract fractions properly. People gave me good pointers along the way. Know the direction of blood flow through the heart...stuff like that. My lowest score was in science but I hadn't taken A&P II yet. Just study that science! I still made a 79 on the exam which is considered a great score. There's some other helpful stuff I found on people's blogs from googling. You can do it! Just make sure if you take it once allow yourself the time to take it again incase you need to. From what I understand the tests are all pretty similar.

Hi medskool! I will send you the study guide :)

Hi medskool! Welcome to the thread. Let me preface what I'm about to say about the science section on the Kaplan with telling you that it is only 20 questions (going off memory here). So, when you think about the breadth and depth of A&P, that is like studying for a needle in the haystack. With that being said, I would recommend focusing on A&PII stuff and how it applies clinically. There are clinical examples in my textbook at the end of each chapter and I would assume others would have it as well. I would go over those and the end of chapter reviews/questions. Maybe even some n-clex practice questions. Kaplan also creates the n-clex, I believe.

Hi medskool! I will send you the study guide :)

Thanks a bunch...I don't know if i can get inbox messages on here so if you can email it to me that would be greatly appreciated.
