Brenau Part-time Spring 2014

U.S.A. Georgia

Is anyone else applying for the part-time Spring 2014 term? Any full-time applicants?

Wow!! I'm just reading everyone's comments and I'm getting SO excited!! This was a tough summer taking A&P1 again and Chem 2 but I got the grades I wanted, woo hoo!! Now to wait til the end of the month. Good luck to everyone! I start classes again on the 19th and I'll be taking 6 classes. 4 will be online, so I'm looking forward to not having to drive as often as summer semester, but it's still the largest load I've taken since I started school again so i'm a little freaked out. If I do not get in, I will not be renewing my application. I will more than likely apply to the school I'm currently attending, get an associates and take a bridge year into the midwifery masters. So I'm a little nervous because if I do get in, I will still have to make a decision. LOL! If I don't get in, the decision will be made for me. haha!! Brenau is just so expensive, I'm freaking out about the student loans when I'm done.

Wow I am so nervous, everyday gets even harder for me. I wish everyone good luck and I hope we all hear great news soon. So I was reading some of the other post. I had no idea that they were going to add new requirements to the program. I hope I filled the form out completely, and am not missing any classes. I will be starting Patho this month and am a little scared about that also. I have heard the class is very difficult and the professor use to be the Dean at Brenau. I am stressed to the max. Is anyone else taking Patho this month? Well good luck everyone and thanks for the updated post about the changes coming up.

The countdown continues! I'm hoping they send out the letters on the 20th or around then and not September! I can't wait until September. :nurse::wacky::nailbiting:

I am hoping that we find out something next week also or at least the early part of September. I have caught myself getting the mail and hoping that anything says "Brenau University School of Nursing" on it. When I don't see it, I have to tell myself to be patient lol!

I'm right there with you on checking the mail! :D I've heard from my advisor that decisions will be made next week and letters will be sent before the first week of September. I really hope "before" is sooner rather than later. Not only is it hard to be patient (not my strength area) but I would like to know a lot more about what to expect it the program. If I am accepted, I need to talk with financial aid and a nursing advisor. I need to plan child care, etc. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat! Hey, if we get accepted...would anyone like to meet up and celebrate over a coffee or something? It would be nice to meet classmates. Ok, I'm getting ahead of myself....see? no patience. :roflmao:

I just finished up my 3rd semester at Brenau, and the suspense is ridiculous!!! I try so hard to not think about it.. (it is still constantly on my mind though). Fall semester starts one week from Monday and it kills me that I am not even focused on this semester... I'm focused on HOPEFULLY Spring semester!!!! It stinks too that I am slightly confident that I might get good news but then again..I most certainly do not want to be too sure of myself (you guys all have great sats, so hopefully we all get accepted!) I cannot describe how bummed I will be if I don't get in..

Hey GlennaKilgore, I saw your name on an email from A&P II teacher, looks like we are going to be in class together!! Can't wait to meet you! I would love for all of us to celebrate soon!!

I would like to know soon as well because if I don't get in this time, I plan to reapply again. Since they added new prerequisites, I would want to start taking them before the next deadline. I hate to think like that but I have to be optimistic and realistic at the same time. I thought they would have been done with the decisions by now!

I plan on doing the same thing, I would only have to take two of the new prereq's and I would have to register for them for Spring... but yes, I would like to know so I can prepare for that application (worse case scenario) and retake the Kaplan as well to try to score higher.. before the Nov 15 deadline.

I would love to celebrate over coffee when our hopeful acceptance letters come in! I'm with you on planning life if accepted. So much to look forward to and so much to figure out! Also I just want to go scrubs shopping and feel official!

What are the extra pre-reqs? I have an associates already so all was waved except for the nursing specific pre-reqs and I can't find a list anywhere to make sure that no sciences were added....

@Kbraswell I saw your name on the anatomy II email the professor sent out. Have you started reading the book yet? My weekend is being dedicated to reading and starting notes following the chapter outline she sent out. The professor seems like she means business!

ha! Kbraswell I saw you mentioned the class before I did after I posted. I'll be hard to miss in class! I have long dark hair and a few tattoos on my arms. Say hello! I have this feeling the letters will come in that day and I won't know till I get home from that first day of class if I got into the nursing program. I'm taking med. terminology the second half of the semester as well. Wasn't planning on patho till the first bit of nursing school. I guess that's what I'll still aim for if I don't get into the nursing program. Can't think like that though! We're all getting in!!
