What do you usually eat? I find myself running out the door without breakfast......what do you make?

I used to not eat breakfast but now a days I'll have a bowl of cereal in the AM and perhaps a piece of fruit.

I find I last longer if I have carbs. I will have baked beans on toast, or a bagel. Sometimes scrambled egg on toast. That normally keeps me going until lunch.

a banana, a muffin, protein bar, Special K is really good. Or just a big glass of milk. Or a bag of trail mix, etc. Never skip completely. Take a snack with you too.

1 cup coffee with one creamer, 1/2 bowl of Special K with strawberries or banana with 1% milk, and 1/2 bowl of oatmeal, and one yogurt to go, plain vanilla.

2 hours later, I eat a banana...that CAN lasts me until 2-3 p.m, but I usually eat lunch before then. I do not let myself get hungry and can snack in between...peanuts, sunflower seeds, an apple, etc.,

Edit to add: I always make it a point to take care of me and my well-being because frankly, no one else will. Unless someone is circling the drain, you'd better believe I will find a quiet little corner and make sure I drink my water or eat a banana. No compromise.

I like that breakfast idea, but I would modify it a bit, like using plain unsweetened yogurt, mixing it with the fresh fruit and adding a couple of table spoons of mixed seeds and one of oat bran. Added sugar substitute optional. Once I get on to weight maintenance, I'll try it. But right now, I only have a few kg to shake off and I need to stick to my eating plan.

Sometimes it really tries my discipline when colleagues order food in, like FISH & CHIPS! One of them sometimes orders THAT for breakfast! And she doesn't put on weight!!!

ENGLISH BREAKFASTS! Just shake a piece of bacon or a lovely pork banger at me and I pick up weight!

I refuse to go back to waddling, like when I weighed 106kg! (That's 233.68 pounds...)

Ahhh, I remember English Breakfasts...:sniff:....:scrying:....:crying2:....WAAH!

OK, so it sounds completely gross, but try it. My friend from India taught me this. I open a can of salmon, mix it with a handful of walnuts and add a bit of salt. PROTEIN! When I have this, I am not hungry again till about 1400.

I like that, but I'm not keen on tinned salmon; maybe I could try it grilled with flaked almonds. I like tinned tuna though....Have to try it out! Thank you.

I can't do anything in the morning without breakfast.

Peanutbutter and banana on a whole wheat english muffin. Takes 2 minutes to make :) I also pack enough food so I can eat something every 2-3 hours. My blood sugar drops if I don't eat.

Scrumptious.:yeah:

Would sardines work instead?

Would sardines work instead?

I dunno. Sardines are kinda oily and you may end up feeling quite nauseated.

I stopped eating breakfast before my 12. I found that compared to last year, when I was eating breakfast, there was no change in my energy level at all. I'll have a cup of coffee during reports and I'm good to go til lunch.

Usually a breakfast sandwich from 7-11 with iced coffee, plus a banana if I remember. And then I'll try to sneak in a soda and a candy bar after morning meds and most of my assessments are charted, on the off chance I don't get lunch until 1400. Then there's days where I forget about lunch, like last week...and of course I skimped on the breakfast too.

Atkins makes a chocolate peanut butter bar that is Yummy and full of protein.I can Stay full off of one of those a a Large Mcdonalds coffee with splenda..I'll carry around an apple of a Kashi pumpkin flax granola bar for later...sometimes I'll have a protein shake..if I have time 2 cook its always cheese eggs and some type of meat, maybe a slice of high fiber bread. My goal is to eat things that will keep me full...
