Brandman University ABSN Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi All,

I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon.

Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone applying for fall 2021?

I’m applying for fall 2021. I’m so nervous /: I only have a 3.675 science GPA and a 3.0 cum but I do have really good letters of rec, goal statement and experience in military medicine. I heard Brandman has been inundated with applications so I’m nervous I’m not as competitive a candidate as I once thought I was. Anyone else in a similar position??

Did your enrollment coach tell your your GPA or did you calculate it yourself?

My enrollment coach told me ?

I already got accepted to a school but it’s in Orange County and I’m really hesitant to commute that far

I’d still say you have a good chance. They love people who have healthcare experience + your military experience. Put an emphasis on your military medicine experience on your statement.

Aw, thanks for the words of encouragement! We’ll find out in July I suppose!

Hi everyone! Just checking in again to ask a question.. to those who were waitlisted, did the school explain why you were waitlisted versus why you weren’t completely accepted? As we get closer to decisions going out for the fall cohort, I’m getting increasingly nervous ?
