Brandman University ABSN Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi All,

I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon.

Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ?

Thanks in advance.

I emailed my enrollment coach on Thursday and asked, he told me decisions would go out today, but that I would probably be waitlisted. He said there were 120 applicants and only 24 or 25 would be accepted. But I also heard they raised the price to 850 a unit ? or something like that.

Decisions went out today!! I was waitlisted, good luck to everyone and congratulations to those of you who got accepted! ❤️❤️❤️ Looks like I’ll be going up to Orange County for school after all.

Hi! I am so sorry to hear that you were waitlisted but congratulations to starting school in O.C. If you don’t mind..what school are you attending. I am looking to begin applying to schools and want to keep my options open ?

@AlinaphoutAw thank you! I kind of knew I would be as I still have in-progress coursework for my current degree (last class is this month) but hey that’s life! If I were you, I’d look into Pacific College in Costa Mesa. They have a brand new RN-BSN program that’s 4 semesters long. Historically it was an LVN school from what I’ve gathered but they have an ADN program and an ADN-BSN bridge program now. No NCLEX stats yet because of how new it is. But yeah, that’s where I’ll be going. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for this information. I really appreciate it!! Good luck to you and your journey ?

How did you guys find out? I've checked my email and website, still nothing on my end.

My enrollment coach sent an email about it

Got an email from my coach that I was waitlisted for fall 2021! Does anyone know if waitlisted applicants are guaranteed a spot in another cohort if everyone accepts their spot this term?! At least that’s the way the email was worded

I was told waitlisted applicants have to roll their applications to the next cohort if they weren’t offered a spot by august 30th. And I’m the email it mentioned to finish all in progress coursework and/or take classes to boost GPA. But it didn’t say anything about being guaranteed a spot for any future cohort /:

My email was worded differently, it didn’t mention anything about finishing in progress classes. I guess the waiting continues ?

I think every enrollment coach dispenses their advice differently. For me, my science GPA was high but my cumulative GPA was a bit lower than the applicants who got accepted. And since I still have in progress coursework that would be an issue until the class is completed ? but yeah, I heard a lot of us were waitlisted.

Hi everyone! I see a lot of comments about past cohorts. I was checking in to see if anyone is applying to for the October 15th deadline for Spring 22? ?

For anyone applying to Spring '22. Do you know when acceptances go out for that? When school would start?
