Brandman University ABSN Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi All,

I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon.

Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks sapper108! How come you didn’t end up applying?

@DD_futurenurse I'm changing careers and wanted to get the program done as soon as possible. I chose to apply to out of state ABSN programs that are 1 year in duration. I'll be starting nursing school in January and finishing in December. I'm also relying on my GI Bill educational benefits for covering the costs so the duration and course delivery format was important in that aspect.

Wow! Best of luck to you, a 1 year nursing program sounds intense and awesome at the same time!

Thank you for that info. That out of state program sounds great! ?

Has anyone started the program yet?

Next month!

Nice! Keep us updated on here!

Any updates on how it is going for the first cohort that started this month?

Has anyone found the NCLEX pass rate for Brandman? I'm confused why I don't see it - but I do see that the program is accredited. Definitely interested to hearing how people are liking the program so far. Congrats everyone who has been accepted!

Specializes in Licensed Vocational Nurse.

They are brand new and the first cohort is currently in session so they don’t have any record as of yet or board pass rates.

Thanks! Now I understand. I was thinking since they already have an RN to BSN program that they would have an NCLEX pass rate, but those with an RN would have already taken the NCLEX prior to working as a nurse. Thanks again!

Any new updates? How's the program going?
