Hi All,
I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon.
Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ?
Thanks in advance.
Make sure your A&P and Micro were upper division - some of those are not transferrable. Here's the link to their course articulation database.

If it's not there or if doesn't specifically state their course number, it will have to be evaluated. It appears that often this doesn't happen until they are reviewing your application for acceptance or wait list. It also appears they may give preference in admissions to those with more sciences done (an unspoken method of ranking).

Hey everyone, I'm helping my brother out. Brandman is stating that he needs to take A&P 2, even though he took A&P 1 and 2 at National University. According to the course articulation database from Brandman, both A&P 1,2 from National U are transferrable to Brandmans A&P 1,2. The advisor sucks and we are not getting any answers, who can he contact directly to clarify the course articulation?? Thanks everyone and thank you for deciding to become RNs.
@Crojo1501 I was able to transfer A&P 1 & 2 from national to Brandman. I can give you my advisor cause he was very helpful and responded right away to my emails.

@Crojo1501 You can petition the class. Your advisor will submit a form for you and then you have to send them a syllabus. If you need a syllabus, let me know, I still have mine.

Hi, what do you mean you can petition the class?
@acarson7 To petition for the class means to prove the course you’ve already taken is equivalent to the same course they are requiring you to take. That’s why they require a syllabus from your previous course so that they can see what the course description is. You submit it to your academic advisor and they will submit the petition for you. You can check their transfer website and see if the course you took is equivalent to theirs. If it is equivalent according to their transfer website, then you do not need to send in a syllabus; you would just need to send in a petition.

Thank you! My advisor never mentioned that to me or requested that from me. I will be discussing with her first thing Monday morning. Did you petition a class and was it successful? If you don’t mind me asking.

Go on the Brandman University transfer list and it will show what classes taken in california are transferable. I will have to take speech and the two LBSU courses.
