I am doing this. Be very careful with what market you are in. This is very cut throat and allergan keeps raising the price. People are over watering the product down. It is supposed to be 2.5 ml NS to mix. There is NO WAY some places can sell this product at the prices they are advertising. I am in a large buying group and I know the prices! There are some alternatives to Botox but they just raised their price as well. Consumers do not understand. They think I make a TON of money. Actually most RN's make more than I.
I went in to a place doing botox and they had ZERO medical staff in the facility. The injector was not even a medical assistant......so i guess that is how the price is so low. This place just got bought out and I believe they are up to the same. No proof yet.....but consumers have no idea.

Hi
I recently graduated as a nurse practitioner and have a job in family practice. I eventually would like to do cosmetic dermatology/aesthetics. I am taking a Botox and dermal filler course in a few months and would like to start my own business doing injections. Is starting out doing my own business a good idea or should I try to get on at a medical spa first? In looking at current postings, most require a few years of injection experience. Any tips, ideas, suggestions about how to start a business for medical aesthetics would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
