Hi everyone,
With the Nov 15 deadline looming close and closer, I wanted to start a topic for everyone applying. I'm just about ready to submit my application. Still obsessing over the personal statement, especially the part about personal development and being a lifelong learner, etc. Not an easy essay topic! How are everyone's applications coming?
I called BC to get some clarification on the interview question. They said that some specialties may choose to interview candidates, and she thinks psych is the only one that may be doing it this year. The person at BC also said she wanted to make it clear that they are not REQUIRED so if you arent getting an interview, that doesnt mean you wont get in.
I applied for Pediatrics, not Psych, but just thought I would pass the info along :)
Anyone heard anything from BC? When I called to ask about the interview I forgot to ask how they choose the 42-- if they have hard numbers for each specialty that they fill or if they just take the best 42 regardless of specialty. I know FNP and Adult are the most competitive elsewhere--I wonder how it is at BC. I applied to Peds.

Mzaur, I wasn't under the impression that an interview was required for any of the specialties; I noticed you said you had one, how did it go? I know that for Vanderbilt, psych requires an interview, but BC never indicated this. Was yours a special case?
