Tending Lives : Nurses on the Medical Front
by Echo Heron (Author)
I am still currently in the thick of my pre-reqs but I have a friend who has been a nurse for years and recommended I read this book. She said it is awesome...just curious if anyone else has read it...I am going to order it from amazon right now...used copies are so cheap!

Yep. I've read, and recommend, all of her books.

I just finished her FIRST book... Intensive Care... was a page turner, and I simply could not put it down... I inhaled that book. I ordered all three at Amazon.. getting ready to read her second now... Condition Critical , then her last non-fiction Tending Lives. I just had to read them in order, though, as her first one describes going through nursing school and her very first experiences being a nurse.
I can't recommend her work enough... from laughter to tears to intense feeling... FABULOUS writer !!! Triple thumbs up !

I am almost finished with that book now and it is AWESOME !!! Just as all of her books are. I have read them all and think that anyone considering nursing should definitely read them !! They are truly wonderful !!

This a great book, and each chapter is a separate story, so if you need to study or whatever, you can put it down, then pick it up again later.
I would just get this one for now--you can get the others when not so stressed about school, etc.

Echo is so totally awesome!
I mean with all her negative talk about nursing politics and what we have to put up with, her books drew me to nursing even more!! I am eagerly awaiting her future publications.

I find her books a bit drawn out (long-winded). IMHO, what she says in 500 pages could be said in far less verbiage.
But do recommend you check them out for yourself.

I found her books cheaper on half.com $.75 + $2.79 shipping is what I just paid for Condition Critical.
