Bon Secours Fall 09

U.S.A. Virginia

I turned in my application today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg...I am so scared. I know its early in the game but anyone else applying for fall Bon Secours for 09? I have been doing non nursing classes for 3 semesters and finally I am ready to apply. I wanted to go into NS with only nursing classes! Now the waiting game!!!!! I cant belive I am at this point allready. It felt like forever! Now if NS goes by this fast (if I get in). :yeah:

I wish you much luck.

Thank you. Good luck to you as well!

I am just SO overwhelmed. I have about one month exactly to take my TEAS test & receive 60% or above, obtain three good recommendations, write an amazing two page essay on why I want to become an RN and enroll in their school, obtain my transcripts & SAT scores, and take the English and Math placement test from J.Sargeant Reynolds Community College. I wish I would have applied sooner to give myself more time to not stress & freak out, but I can do this.

Going over some previous posts here, I see that the school extended the deadline due to the fact that they haven't received lots of applications from qualified canidates. So, hopefully, that will give me an advantage-being that I meet all of their qualifications. Also, I highly doubt that anyone else is considering applying this late because a lot of people may think the deadline has already passed.

I really want to pursue nursing as a career. I pray that I earn a spot as one of Bon Secours nursing students. I've applied to college this year & I've been denied by damn near every school I applied to. I just want to be given a chance. I want to become an RN.

I'm just wondering, what time are the morning classes??

I think the time and days vary.

Did anyone attend the info session last night? Any important info we should kow about?

Thanks

Hi all,

Did anyone receive a call from Bon Secours today/this week about whether or not you wanted day or evening classes?

When do you have to take the Math and English Placement test?

When do you have to take the placement test at JSR

You have to take them before you apply, unless you're at least 22 or have over 18 college credits. If so, you don't have to take them at all. At least, thats what the application information says.

Can we use calculators for the TEAS Test?

I got my letter yesterday saying that I was "conditionally accepted" for the fall program on the day scheduling option. I have to initial the paperwork and send it back, and then I guess they start the fingerprinting, physical examination, and background processes. Then when you pass all of that stuff, then I guess they actually "accept" you, lol. I was surprised to get the letter so soon yesterday, and luckily my neighbor is nice because it went to her mailbox and she brought it over to me. :) Yay!

Helen

Congrats to you. I take my TEAS test on the 19th. What was the most difficult parts?

Congrats Helen! I received my acceptance letter yesterday too, and I'll be taking day classes as well :) So excited!
