I had 265 questions and i answered 20000 practice test question and i took kaplan and other preperation courses.
I know every single question in mosby, saunders, lippcont & kaplan
but there were some questions in the test i have never seen in my life.
nclex is the test our ability not a place for board of nursing:nurse: to show off
with medical books.shame on you nasty people.

Those are harsh words.
I don't like the nclex either but I don't say those kinds of harsh words. What if someone told that to you. If someone told me that, I would do serious damage to them and put them in a hospital.
Anyhow, I can see how you feel about the nclex asking ridiculous hard questions. However, these hard question might be the so called 15 random test question that are not even regarded when the test grades your paper. I strongly feel the 15 false question are a silly way to distract the test taker and for them to guage how much difficulty you can handle.
Don't jumped the gun and assume you failed the test without getting your results. Many people on this website report that when they took the test, the test was the hardest test they ever took and they were certain of only a few answers. They end up passing the nclex with the minimum 75 questions.
good luck!

I agree. Those are very nasty things to say! The NCLEX is a test to wean out the good from the bad. I failed the first time with 265 questions.. I had questions about things I never heard of. The same with the 2nd time, which I passed. Maybe you need to regroup. Take some time off. But the NCLEX is only doing their job.
When you become an RN, with the attitude you have, how are you going to care for people who are relying on you? If they are in pain, need a shoulder to cry on, or dying are you just going to say **** off and leave them? Get rid of your attitude, pull yourself together, and regroup. If this is truly something you want to do in life, it will happen. A little prayer won't hurt either!

The exam is meant to test you and your knowledge. There will always be a % that will fail and there will always be questions that you haven't seen, makes no sense to know all the questions. Many come away from the exam convinced they failed and didn't.

i read your post before it was edited and i was in such shock that you could say something like that... that i didn't even respond! i understand your anger but please! look at me! i am valedictorian of my class and a member of the nursing honor society (society for the top 3% of students in the class)..... yet many off my classmates have already passed and are already nurses and i am studying to take the test for the second time! i bombed big time, with only 75 questions!!!!! !i have an 8 month old baby an my husband is trying hard to take care of everyone.... but he needs help! its not easy for any of us ... especially those of use that have to take the test multiple times..... but it is ungodly to speak of anyone in those terms (especially children)... nursing is about caring! and i am pretty sure that you most likely don"t know every single question in all those books.... if you did, you should have gone to medical school....
i am not trying to be mean, i just suggest that you regroup.... and consider suzannes plan, b/c based on what you wrote, you did not even complete all the questions in the saunders book/cd.... since you only did a total of 2000..... there are over 4000 questions in saunders..... take a week of.... infact, in the condition that you appear to be in, i would suggest taking two-three weeks off and then beginining the first tip in suzannes plan, from there, email her for part two..... i am doing her plan right now and feel more than 80% better about taking the test then i did before!!!!
take it easy.... get some icecream, watch a movie and pray:saint: pray:saint: pray:saint:!!!!!:bowingpur

woah! when i first looked at the title i was shocked! how much more if i have read the unedited parts of the thread...
take it easy...sometimes we have to examine ourselves first before we pinpoint who's to blame for our failures. I will be taking the exam next month for the 4TH TIME...and the more i work on passing that's when i see where i lacked the last time i took the test.
i understand that maybe you were just trying to vent but use of inappropriate words is unnecesary...
pray...take some time off to compose yourself and your study plan...and Genny's right..get some ice cream.. might help

As everyone knows, there i no love lost betwen the CA BRN and me...I wouldnt go as far as to call them animals, (well i guess we are all animals) :)
i personally think they (the call people/examiners) personally do not make enough money, do not like their jobs have been dealing with RN students for years calling them about results for soooo long they become desensitized to the human element.
when i called its like, their response is 'scripted'.
i dont know, the sooner i get my liscense the happier i will be, because i will no longer have to deal with them..just mail off my liscense fee to them every 2 years and send off my CEU's...
that will be a good day.
i wish you the best of luck..
