BMCC Fall 2011 Applicants - HESI A2

Hello fellow BMCC nursing applicants,

Anyone applying for Fall 2011? They now require the HESI A2 (I believe the Spring '11 hopefuls didn't need HESI). Does anyone know what the percentages will be for prereq GPA/ overall GPA/ HESI score in determining the rankings?

I'm pretty worried now because I was hoping to boost up my overall GPA from 3.7 to above 3.8 this semester. But finals just passed, and I calculated my grades; I think my GPA is dropping to a ~3.63 because I might receive a C in my Microbio class. I'm considering emailing my professor and requesting some kind of administrative withdrawal instead of getting the C. If somehow I'm allowed the withdrawal, my GPA will become ~3.84. My prereq GPA is ~3.86 (2As, 2A-s).

BMCC is notorious for rejecting 3.8s, let alone 3.7s and lower. Should I rely on acing the HESI or should I contact my professor and hope I get the withdrawal? Or is there a possibility that a 3.7 this sem could get accepted?

Congrats SkinyWinky :) Very happy for you. Did you apply for day or evenings? If you do not mind me asking, what does your last name begin with? Mine is A...but I have friends who are freakin out and was wondering what letter last name he is up to? I got my call at 5:30 today :)

Thanks for letting me know, I got mine before yours at 5:30, so I wanted to know what letter he might be up to for my frind as my last name begins with an A. I am not sure if he is calling in alphabetical order or gpa order. I also applied for day :) Looking frwd to getting to know all day prog. student. Are you picking up your package tomm

Yes I'll be there tomorrow between 10and 11am. How did u do in the HESi test if u don't mind me asking? I got 93% and 800 for CT.

@ SkinyWinky... I got 80% on the HESi & a 3.86 GPA. I do not think he is going in any specific order...as a frind of mine just got called at 8:40 Pm and her last name begins with F. I will get the package on my lunch break tomm. :)

Congratulations folks!! I received my call this evening as well...8:04 to be exact.:) totally unexpected. My last name begins with an S, so I'm not sure what particular order the calls are coming in--I'm also in the day program. I look forward to meeting you guys as I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of one another for some time to come.

For those of you who haven't received calls I wish you all the best as I know how anxiety provoking this process can be.

Does anybody know up to how many days do they called?? if a week or just one day?? Did anybody else got the called today?
